A Poll Would you like to Zouwu on the map?
I'd like to do this as a Poll but I'm unsure of how to do that.
Would you like to see Zouwu as a regular foundable on the map?
- Yes
- No
- Indifferent
If yes- Do you want to see Zouwu as
- Magizoology
- oddity
Can we pretty please have a regular Zouwu on the map? πππππππππ
I have ideas for a whole new Magizoology page including fortress foundable if developers are interestedπ

Yes definitely!
The brilliant version was a regular trace, it wouldn't make sense for the normal one to be an oddity. Plus, we have more than enough oddities already.
Iβd actually love a whole new magizoology page with the Zouwu, Nagini, Kappa and whatever else.
(I was strangely feeling empathetic towards the Kappa from reason. Or. Idk. Seeing it affected me. Hearing Constance that itβs good to send it back actually made me mad)Anyways. Yes. Regular Zouwu please! And whatever had been on the flora and fauna brilliant event as normal foundables! (I joined the game way after that brilliant event)
Totally agree @LeFayeofAlbion! Those foundables are awesome, would love to see more.
And flora and fauna event is a sore spot for me. That was before I fully understood the game and never completed it.
yes yes yes!!! pretty please with sugar on top?π¨
@Owlx Yes for the Zouwu and as a Magizoology page foundable. π Itβd be great to see the other foundables as permanent additions too.
@LeFayeofAlbion I joined after the Flora and fauna event too, so I understand where youβre coming from with that.
@MrSciGuy π― Noooo.
Why "Magizoology" and not "Care of Magical Creatures"?
(my long post explaining why the Zouwu will certainly return as a "regular foundable" is currently being reviewed; @hpwulola could you have a look at my post and tell me why it was sent to review, was it too long?)
(also, Nagini will probably return in "Dark Arts")
I think, @Lucoire, there is a general feeling that Care of Magical Creatures is more Hagrid themed and Magizoology is more Newt. Which is why people prefer the Zouwu for the latter.
I think I remember someone from the HPWU team saying that we will get the Zouwu, just not yet.
@Magpie31 Magizoology is more
wild creatureswhile "Care of Magical Creatures" is more (sort of)DOMESTICATED Creatures. And given that the Zouwu was in a Circus, it was kinda domesticated.
The Newt VS Hagrid - Comparison feels arbitrary to me, kinda like "Harry-Potter-Series vs Magical-Creatures-and-Where-to-find-them-Series" (which is basicly later timeline vs earlier timeline)... and to separate them by timeline is just wrong.
But the game does seem to separate them like that to me, @Lucoire. After all, the Niffler, Dougal and Pickett are domesticated, but hippogriffs and baby dragons generally aren't.
Whilst it may seem arbitrary to you, if you look through the registry pages, you will find that Care of Magical Creatures relates directly to animals mentioned in Care of Magical Creatures lessons or to Hagrid himself (his hut, Hagrid himself etc) and the Magizoology pages are those animals found primarily in the Fantastic Beasts series, linked more to Newt Scamander's book.
I would also argue that even if we took your wild creature argument as true, equating a zouwu to a domesticated creature would be the equivalent of calling a tiger or an elephant a domesticated animal. Whilst elephants may be used as working animals (rather like a horse) in some countries, that wouldn't be true in Europe, where the series is set so far. In fact, circus animals were alwasy chosen as they were wild and exotic, not domestic animals you would see under normal circumstance. Therefore, the zouwu should still be in magizoology, no?
I am now arguing with myself, because I have nothing better to do...
@Owlx pointed out to me that the unicorn and the mountain troll are on magizoology, which supports your argument, @Lucoire.
So far, all brilliant TRACE-Foundables have been introduced as "regular" trace foubdables. Ergo, the Zouwu should be no exception.
For reference:
Fantastic Flora and Fauna
Potter's Calamity
Back to Hogwarts
Fighting Forces
Stronger United
Christmas Calamity
Darkest Times
Lost Love
Wow! This discussion went wild, and that's completely ok!
Chicken and the egg with some of these a regular foundables. A great deal of them already existed in game before their brilliant event.
All the Hogwarts students were regular map foundables before the back to school events. Same can be said of almost all of the on the map encounter brilliant event foundables.
A small number of brilliant event foundables were not in game 1st, notably the death eater and the escaped prisoner. That brilliant event was about a month before the oddities event. Now they are regular map encounters on the oddities page.
Fluffy was not in brilliant event but the oddities event and it seemed like it took a very long time to see fluffy on the map.
Zouwu, the Kappa, and Nagini are not already in game, they did not exist (in game) before the Circus brilliant event.
I love the new animations. Their artwork is stunning! How the bubble moves with Nagini is wonderful. Zouwu is an amazing and fun encounter. After re -watching Crimes of Grindelwald, I have a new appreciation for Zouwu in the movie and the game. I am going to miss Zouwu and wish to express my opinion, wish, and hope for these animations to be integrated into the game.
We can discuss what goes in what family in a different thread. There are several foundables that I think are on the wrong page. That is a different thread and I don't see the game moving which foundable is on which page.
Bottom line
I just pretty please want Zouwu and the other new glorious brilliant foundables from the Circus event to have regular version in game permanently.
Pretty please with ice cream whip cream and cherries pretty please.
Yes! I would like the zouwu too!
@Lucoire I'm very fuzzy from just waking up, but why are you listing pages that were set up with foundables before the events happened? The only case when we had foundables available only through the event before family was oddities v (and possibly the stuff from flora and fauna, I wasn't playing then so I don't know).
Also, what does it matter on which page that they are added? Sometimes you have to capture the excitement of the idea to present before you determine if it is a road worth persuing...
@Bormacska to make my point of saying that ALL brilliant Traces will also become non-brilliant traces sooner or later.
yes magizoology
