I would like to know with the developers if we will have in the near future the chat inside the game as it is in the ingress. I think Wizard Unite needs a lot of an internal chat tool. What do you guys think about this?
My guess is that Niantic will never enable an in game chat again. Essentially it creates a legal problem with COPPA and an image problem because of the harassment that occurred in Ingress.
Niantic relies on third party social networks for outside of game communication. For events players have turned to background third party voice chat applications. That may not be as necessary in HPWU as in Ingress.
The community in Ingress is literally why I stopped playing. I like comms in games but it got more toxic than some MMO communities.
With that said, I think it would be nice to have an internal comms feature (even if just PM or Group/Team) where you can either chat with those on your friends list and/or create teams/groups for a game outing - just not open comms.
i love the harry potter film and books so much that i download Hogwarts mystery on my phone and wizards unite that i nearly half way through the Hogwarts mystery and wizard unite.

I was getting harassed on fb with pogo and getting threats. Niantic allowed me to change my name on a fairly regular basis after I sent them screenshots.
I would like a feature to chat with friends though.
It would definitely be nice if we can do more with our friends than just receive bonus xp. Gifting or something, or a chat group would be awesome to have

PM capability would be nice, I have a chat channel for WU and Pokemon Go on another app.
