Circus calamitous not counting fortress battles?

So I am on the fourth part of this Brilliant Event (which has been so much fun!).
Yesterday I spent a good while in a fortress, ranging from Runes level 3 up to Tower level 3. For some reason, despite ticking off the "collect 1500 xp from fortress battles", my defeat foes in a fortress count remains at 4.
I know I definitely defeated way more than 4 foes (especially seeing as how some of the levels I was in required at least four battles).
Is anyone else having this problem? Am I mistaken and it's actually ten battles needed, not foes? It's a bit frustrating as I am literally miles away from a fortress, so will need to head out to finish off this task today.

Hmm. On mine, it said formidable foes, so maybe they updated the text but not the actual requirement?
I've just read another thread where that does seem to be the case. Glad it's not just that my battles aren't being counted :D
I have the same problem, did 3 challenges with 4-6 foes in each but only got one foe registered while both other assignments finished... Headed out now to see if it'll work.
@Magpie31 Now that would explain it! Mine only says foes, possibly a translation error. Thank you!
With the changes to help people with social distancing somehow the formidable got dropped from the task.
I managed to complete the task when I went for Tower 1 and above. Hitting formidable foes. Ty all, stay safe and well
