What platform should HPWU players go to for the MOST CURRENT INFORMATION???

So the title says it all. I would like someone from the @HPWUTeam to tell us where we need to go home get the most CURRENT and ACCURATE game information. There are HPWU team members releasing information on Dicord that was VERY TIME SENSITIVE but didn’t put the information on this forum. As well as asking players on Discord for brilliant game ideas. Why is that question not being asked on this forum? Does our opinion not matter? This has been an underlying issue for the past 3-4 months or so and I thought I would address the elephant in the room. Where does the HPWU team want us to go and get our game information?

The problems with info release have been raised from the start & I think all of the vets said that Niantic are known for not having the best communication skills & the in game notifications are terrible.
I think the community on here are gr8 for sharing things, esp the graphics from orange wizard are great for prep.
I usually get my info from discord or local FB group. But having a formal platform that works & is timely for us to prep would be great.
Having been asking for a year in july i think it's best we dont hold our breath! Lol.
For now tho I love the adrenaline rush of.....event....what event? What's all these purple things!? Why is there a dot on this page that i didn't know was there? Who is that? Woah. . Thats a pretty zoowoo...zouwooo...zowo..,..zawowee ? 😂😂😂 works just dandy! Who doesn't love surprises!? 😂😂

I just started playing around on Discord but am having a hard time understanding the actual set up of the forum. Anyone have any recommendations? I feel like that source is probably the most up to date and accurate which is really sad because this forum here has so much promise but without it being the #1 go to for information for any level player of HPWU then I will have to go elsewhere. And the significant drop off of the veteran players has negatively impacted the forum. I will still come here for certain players but will make Discord my number one stop. I am also on several FB groups but I like the commaraderie aspect of this site so to me FB doesn’t necessarily have that so I hope Discord can be “that place”. So any tips @Bormacska would be greatly appreciated!!
My issue with spell energy from inns/GH has been going on since February 13 four weeks now and it still hasn’t been fixed. No fix - I just am loosing up to half my inn/GH spell energy every single day for 28 days now. RIDICULOUS!!! If I didn’t love Harry Potter so much I would have left a long long time ago. But then Zouwu comes along and makes everything OK!!! I love opening up that trace so much.

The big problem with relying on Discord, or Facebook, or Twitter, or anything like that: VOLUME!
If you want to find something on discord, you pretty much have to read everything. It takes a LOT of time to keep up with all of it.
Here? In theory, you could just look at the announcement section of the forum, and in theory, get all the announcements.
The absence of official response tells its own story
@ClairabusGryff I think someone said about you need to be on the main discord server & then if u keep your gamer tag we can find you. You won't need to search for any info then we got it covered! Lol
@Bormacska may be able to point u to how to access the main one- im literally clueless.....'No....surely not I hear u all say....but u usually have your head so screwed on!?' 😂😂 i just go to the chat & it's easy but navigating discord itself I've not tried. We'll get you there hon, dont worry.
The move thankfully is now postponed to allow me to wait for just the right place to come up. And we are packing up slowly & properly. Other things have been very tough, bit of family drama, but me & my daughters are pushing through & getting some help thank goodness. Just taking it day by day.
I hope you are well & i hear ya about this forum- its such a real shame cos that's where we alk met & forged lasting friendships, the banter, the fantastic tips & advice & just sharing our moments & pure love of the game- despite the bugs & flaws & no spell energy!!? I mean woah!!
That is how it should be & newcomers don't have that sense of it at the minute.
We gotta get things goin again i feel- it's the right thing to do!!

Magpie ive realised i don't have u on my friends list so haven't been able to see u are still playing but hearing on the grapevine so was glad u are still with us.
It really is a worry that people will drop out & at first when there were major bugs with the game- this forum hung us all in there- @Ginnungagap literally should have been on the payroll sorting things out lol amongst others.
The love of all things Potter, the amazing graphics & the fun challenges & events this game constantly provide are a lifesaver & we defo need to celebrate that more on here ❤

Needless to say my passion for the game has never waivered & i still jump around & squeal in the street like the crazy lady that i am 😂

Hey everyone! Thanks for tagging me. We have team members on various channels because we want to get information to the Wizards Unite community all over the web. We always are in sync with announcements of game events and updates.
When it comes to last minute escalations, it sometimes can be a challenge to get the information out ASAP to every channel! We are working on ways to make sure we are more in sync.
We built the forums to facilitate connections, answer questions, and build community. I enjoy seeing the amazing conversations here! Please let us know if you have specific feedback of items you would like to see more on the Community forums.
@hpwulola Thank you for responding to this. I know you guys have a lot to think about, but mamy of us are moving off to other channels due to these issues. Hopefully it can be worked out because this is a lovely community.
@hpwulola - our point is that this forum should be the first priority means of communication because it is the official forum. we here should NOT have to get information second-hand or third-hand from folks who see it on discord or youtube first. why is the @HPWUTeam not prioritizing communications through this forum ??

Thank you @hpwulola for the response. When I first joined this forum it was exactly as you described above. However, over time unfortunately it has devolved into almost the opposite of what it used to be. IN MY OPINION
*Lack of timely information/transparency all around
*Bugs that are reported are not always being addressed and fixed which leaves a bad taste in forum members mouths (yes, I am speaking specifically of my issue that I have been experiencing for 30 days now of getting an error message at inns & GH of “internet connection lost”)
*Lack of moderation by HPWU team
*Negativity by certain forum members which makes visiting the forum an unsavory experience especially for new forum members
*Members ask the same questions over and over and the questions are never answered by a member of the HPWU team
I hope my candidness does not offend but I feel it is important to be very honest because the forum CAN be turned around and there are a lot of veteran players/posters that are committed to just that but we have to see some changes from the HPWU team in reference to this forum. We all came here because we LOVE all things HP so we aren’t quitters and will be a part of the solution.

I think a while ago there was an FAQ suggested somewhere. What do you think, would it help if we collected the most frequently asked questions, @hpwulola and @HPWUrobert provided answers to those and then have that thread pinned in a place where everyone can easily find it? (and obviously UPDATED with more questions and more answers if those come up)

Hm... I've noticed that new Posts in the Announcements-Section are a few minutes late sometimes. BUT the more prevalent "issue" is that questions regarding those anouncements are rarely addressed; also updates to those posts are never marked as such and so nobody has any idea what changed and when it did.
That being said, the compiled infos by dataminers are not a valid criticism to the "official" infos IMHO.
@Lucoire We aren't necessarily talking about dataminers and the event articles on those websites. Fazes on discord is an official source. She routinely posts on discord on the official HPWU channels that are set up for her (and she's the only one who can post on them) before we get updates here. Sometimes by hours. There have been a few instances where someone beats Lola to the punch and copy pastes Fazes' message here before Lola posts an announcement. THAT is where some of the problem is. This is supposed to be the OFFICIAL forum where official announcements go. But on unofficial discords with an official channel, those are getting TIMELY updates and announcements. We obviously don't know the hierarchy and departmental structure at HPWU (or at least I don't), but it seems weird that those other channels are getting updates and announcements before the official forum.
And I don't say that to stop Fazes from posting on discord. Information and communication is a good thing. A great thing! Tons of players are on discord and not here on the forum. But the HPWU team is out of sync.
Agreed 100% @Dogoutlaw and it is highly frustrating to have to go to three different sources to get actual real information. I agree 💯 that the HPWU communications team is way out of sync.
