GPS lag

Hey there, the app is great but what is bugging me a lot is the GPS lag. I keep moving, app stays at the same position and then suddenly rapidly moves. It did not used to happen before and I didn't change anything in my settings. It is very annoying, especially when you wanna catch some inn visits on your way to work so you gotta be very quick (passing it in a public transport). Is there anything anyone (including me) can do to improve it?
