Hey everyone! February’s Community Day is just around the corner and we have a lot to look forward to! On Sunday, February 23rd from 11 am-2 pm local time, gather your friends and take on a variety of Oddities while making use of bonuses to Tonic for Trace Detection Potions.
Our focus during this event is the Oddities II Registry page, which includes the Doxy, Leprechaun, Erkling, Horned Serpent, and Horned Serpent Egg. On Sunday, February 23rd from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. local time, Doxies, Leprechauns, Erklings, and Horned Serpents will appear more frequently on the Map while Horned Serpent Egg fragments will be found in special event Portkeys and in Tower Chamber V and above when using an Oddities Runestone. Nows your chance to prestige this page if you haven't found many Horned Serpents or their eggs. We’d love to see screenshots of everyone’s page before and after this event. I just prestiged that page, so I have a fresh canvas to work from.
This event puts a spotlight on Tonic for Trace Detection Potions. The ingredients for this Potion will be increased on the Map and the brew time, with the use of Master Notes, will be reduced to 30 minutes! If you plan accordingly, you will be able to brew 6 of these during the event. In addition, Tonic for Trace Detection Potion will last for half the time while still revealing the same amount of Traces. This is great if you want to get the most out of your time playing. Players who are participating in the full Community Day event may use up to 12 Tonic for Trace Detection Potions and will see a bounty of Foundables!
As we will be shifting our focus between Foundable hunting and Wizarding Challenges to prestige our Oddities II page during this event, my advice would be to find a spot with a few Inns and a Fortress. Inns will be essential in keeping your Spell Energy stock up! I also would recommend finding players to do Wizarding Challenges with so you can more quickly win your way through those Tower Chamber V and higher challenges. Head to the Community Map to organize local meetups!
Don’t forget to check the Special Assignments to participate in Community Day exclusive tasks that will reward Wizard XP, Spell Books, and Gold. Lastly, don’t forget to collect your complimentary Community Day store bundle 🎁 from Diagon Alley and look out for Spell Energy⚡️on the Map. I hope everyone has a fun Community Day!

NZ didn't get assignments until 1/2 hour before community day ended meaning my first 2 1/2 hours play didn't register and in the given 1/2 hour I had could not finish and get rewards.
I got the special assignment at 13:55 (Melbourne, AU). Had 5 mins to complete, I don't think so!
i’m so sorry to hear “they” ballsed up yet another CD for our NZ-Aussie friends ... let’s hope they can properly make it up for everyone impacted

Sorry to hear it was messed up in your part of the world again.
I busted my foot again 2 days ago, so am doing ad much of the CD as I can from my bed. I have managed a few oddities, not as many as I would have liked but my foot is more important than levelling up and a few red books.
@Magpie31 oh no! Were you not fully healed up from the first time? I am so sorry that you have to deal with that all over again!
@Bormacska In fairness, it is actually the opposite foot, just for balance and all that. The doctor said over the Christmas period that I have a slight calcium deficiency and am prone to stress fractures / foot damage as a result. I should take daily calcium supplements but keep forgetting!
I do think this might be a sprain or tissue damage, though, as it is much better already today.
Hey sorry to hear about the injuries. My community day went fine apart from the assignments which didn't appear until half an hour before the event finished.
Let's face it. I'm an NZ player that's ok for being a Guinea ****. Totally deserved the full rewards for the assignments but missed out. Hmmmm
@Bormacska OH yes we he had increased oddities. I even saw a dragon which is very rare for us. I was in oddity heaven, completely forgot there was meant to be special assignments for over an hour. I kept checking and there was nothing.
Shortly before the event ended I had to restart my phone and I was horrified that the assignments popped up. There was no way to complete any part.

Ok. **** might be my favourite starred word now. Although I had to giggle at a French user who was trying to write thank you for the gifts in French and it comes out with stars - merci beaucoup pour **** cadeaux!
@WizardNZ it appears that the moderation bot is wonderfully suited to finding and pulling any word that might be.... Well... Absurd. 🙄🤪
@WerewolfChaser and @WizardNZ sorry to hear about the tasks, so frustrating. I'm glad there were at least increased oddities.

That was fun. One plea: can we please (pretty please) have access to our Baruffios from within the fortress? @HPWUTeam It's a bit of a palaver if you coordinate a battle, then have to exit, then re-enter etcetera. Especially with your team, especially in inclement weather. As a professor, it gives me an extra enhancement that I don't want to be without: especially in higher chambers.

The heavens opened, so I wasn't able to maximise my use of the fortress side of things (I just sheltered inside a shop that was just in range and did three quick level 5 chambers to meet the quest requirements!) but I managed to get all the fragments for the beasties, which - given that I almost never see a Doxy outside of special events - is very welcome!

Oh @Magpie31 i am so sorry to hear you hurt you other foot and had to play CD from your bed! 😔😔. I hope it heals up soon!
And everyone else that didn’t get the CD assignments that is awful and I hope HPWU will somehow be able to compensate y’all. It starts for me in 27 minutes. 👌
@ClairabusGryff Restart the game after a few minutes (once CD has started). This should bring up the bonus assignment.
Use as many TTD and BBE potions as you can afford!

Didn’t get task list, had to restart phone then it showed and hour and 10 min in to community day. Place first tonic and it only gave 15 min instead of 30.
@Gatorella The TTD only lasts 15 minutes, but drops at double the normal rate.
To anyone playing/about to begin CD, restart the app to bring up the bonus assignment.
I had to reopen app for the assignments to show up but that isn’t my issue is anyone else only getting 15 min when using tonic fir trace detection instead of 30?

@WerewolfChaser I wasn't trying to be rude. it seems that unfortunately for you and NZ, there was enough complaints that she posted after the fact about restarting. Sort of a head to desk moment of frustration. I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to rub that in.
@Opalflower the TTD is working as they promised it would. It only lasts 15 minutes for the event, but drops (brings) its usual 10 foundables.
