Pair with Wii remotes as a wand
So why do we wave our fingers on the screen, when we can wave a "Stick" in the air?
Wii remotes have motion sensors to tell how they move. Newer ones, as well as upgraded old ones, have wii motion plus, which makes this tracking even more accurate.
Wii remotes speak bluetooth. Granted, it's a bit on the "corrupted" side. Nintendo did not follow the pairing rules properly, so you'd have to use custom code for that, the protocol is now well deciphered and documented but it is there.
So a little bit of custom code to pair with the remote, and you've got a battery powered, portable wand that currently exists in large numbers and is easy to obtain.
What could possibly be a fail in this idea?
