Funniest HPWU thing happened

So I was eating lunch with my daughter and her friend yesterday and I was around several inns so I saw that someone had put a dark detector on the inn I was at so I stacked two more. So there I am playing and Grawpy shows up and the lady in the table next to me was battling him too. How funny!!
Then I took my daughter and friend to see Bad Boys For Life and there was a greenhouse at the theatre so during the movie I kept my phone on and my avatar was just exploring everywhere and during the course of the movie my avatar opened four portkeys. I have never had that happen. I was in my recliner seat in the theatre just watching the movie. I was also able to get four extravagant ingredient gifts too which was awesome.
yesterday was a great HPWU day for me!!!

I tend to leave the app running on my phone while at work I get drift which allows me to open more Portkeys as well.

Nice! I generally get enough GPS drift at the office to rack up a kilometer or two, but I've also experienced a couple weird events like the one you described where my phone appears to have taken a trip across town and back while I was in a meeting. 😄
For me the oddest thing was a park grounds keeper stopped me one day in the pouring rain to ask why so many adults keep wandering the park and especially seemed to hover around the playground area. We spent about half a barrufio (yes that was how I timed it) with me explaining hpwu, Pokémon and ingress. Showing him the ingress and hpwu maps and going into a low level fortress battle. That playground area for hpwu has an inn, a gh, and a fortress you can reach all at once if you stand in the right place and the park has 7 inns, 2gh, and 3 fortresses total. So we walked the park so he could understand where each of the POIs were for the games. He couldn't understand why it was adults playing a "kid's game". I finally told him some of us had too much time on our hands and never grew up.

Hahaha @Bormacska that is a great story! Half a Baruffios 😂. I feel like that sometimes when I’m hanging around a place or driving and parking. Just Pottering, don’t mind me lol.
