Look, I know sometimes you are at the mercy of the RNG. But I went to a mall where there are lots of inns, and I used almost a dozen potions. I helped keep nearby inns full on Dark Detectors, and of course I used the Trace potions. Three hours of hard playing later, I missed getting the big reward by ONE Family trace.
Inns ought to be less stingy about giving out energy during a community day - either that or reduce the 5 minute reset time. Trace spawning, especially for those items needed to complete the quest should be increased.
But you may still run afoul of the RNG. It's just not worth the aggravation. 10 potions down, 3 hours of hard playing and I have nothing to show for it.

Sorry to hear you had trouble @BionicManster. I’m honestly surprised to hear that, given that you were at a mall, a place usually packed with inns, fortresses, and traces. I was able to complete community day tasks from my living room due to weather using TTD. I wish you better luck should you decide to continue.
I am so sorry for your CD experience @BionicManster today. I would think that going to a mall would be a great place to experience CD.
what task did you not complete in time? And did you play for all three hours?
To be fair, the shopping mall I was in was crazy quiet and I had to walk up and down the street to get mine. There were nowhere near as many traces as I expected.
Sorry that your CD sucked. I agree that the Inns should have a shorter reset time for those 3 hours, but I am baffled that you sat at a mall, doing all of that and still missed it. I was one hour late, and only have 1.5 hours because a snowstorm hit us, and I was able to do it all sitting parked by a park. Hopefully, you'll have a better experience next time. :).
I was playing in a park - very cold met a few other players as well but I do agree I found I depleted a lot of my WWW runestones before the event just trying to make sure I could level the page up I managed to level up once but there are other fragments on the pages which had low spawn rates like Grawp. I had the same issue with the frosty event which annoyed me saw loads of Rons but wasn’t able to prestige the page because I couldn’t get the last fragment of the quidditch stand even though I was playing at fortresses for an hour at a time over the last 4 days. Very frustrating, would like to see the spawn rates increased when they have events as it just feels pointless playing when you’re waiting on 1 or 2 fragments to complete a page and even after days you get no where 😓
