Fortress Connection Error

While battling (on my last round) I get disconnected. Earlier on my device automatically tried searching for WiFi although I did not enable that setting. That interfered with the game and brought me to the arena. After going back in from disabling the WiFi, I get this connection error and after selecting all the dialog buttons, I found that all the battles for that fortress had been nullified. Please fix this issue soon. Thanks.

Lots of reports about this. I haven't experienced it a whole lot, but I do encounter this problem occasionally, and it's been going on for weeks. Apparently, if you contact in-app support, they'll refund any runestones you lost as a result of being kicked out of challenges. I haven't bothered to do this because it isn't a big deal to me, but it's nice to know you can. I also hope they fix it soon. The problem obviously isn't because tons of users now have poorer network quality on their mobile devices than they did previously. It seems more like a load balancing issue, or perhaps something changed with how the application handles communication hiccups.
