Deleting Ingredients

Am I the only one to delete basic Ingredient gifts as soon as I acquire them?

I’m too embarrassed to send them...

@Bormacska - Not intended to trawl for specific gifts, simply to say basic Ingredient gifts don’t do it for me in terms of sending gifts so I have adopted a policy of deleting them, in part because I seem to acquire plenty of other gifts to give

I do the same. My normal wizarding circuit includes lots of inns, so I also end up deleting lots of basic energy gifts in hopes of getting better ones.

@OriginalCaruso I also delete basis se and basic ingredient gifts. At first it was odd. Now I'm over it. My ingredient vault is usually too full for basic ingredient. Our local discord will list gifts to see who wants or need. We can even request. ie a player was out of hermit crab shells and asked if anyone could send dawdle draft gift.

I like to send ESE gift to players that dont have enough POIs. But I dont need or want anything in exchange so I will leave gifts unopened and continue to send them energy when they open.

It's too much to keep up with who want or needs what. I gave myself permission not to worry about it.

At the moment, I give whatever I've got. I didn't go out at all yesterday because my foot was too sore and I had an anxiety flare up to boot. That means I have no gifts of any kind to give, so even ingredient gifts would be a bonus to give something and acknowledge the kindness of others. Then again, I know it is difficult whrn you can only open ten gifts.

OC - didn't mean to imply that you were trawling by any means, just curious. 😊

I usually have access to an inn in my backyard, but getting to the fortress is an event, and gh are on a drive by basis, so if I am cluttering up someone's list, I'd rather send what they want vs be the gift they only open when they have to.

I cycle through my list approximately every ten to eleven days right now and it drives me crazy only because I know some of the people don't have a long list and may be on an event that they run into that dead end of waiting for people to open their gift. Honestly I open mine for the postcards, no matter what the gift is, but I know many do not have that luxury. I just wished my inn dropped more extravagant gifts to send out or had a cooler image at least!

I know how you feel @Bormacska Most of my PoIs have really dull photos. I try and keep the cooler gifts as I go, but a photo of the local subway station gets deleted unless needed or an extravagant gift. I have the coolest open air museum near me which is full of PoIs and I bet they have beautiful pictures (I will post a photo of two of the PoIs below and you will get why I am hopeful) but as I need to be able to cycle, I probably need to wait a few more days before heading over there. The circuit is about 5k!

Yeah. It is one of my favourite places to spend a day. Not a cheap entry ticket but the bike hire is included and I often go to sit and draw or paint.

What a beautiful country you live in @Magpie31

@Bormacska - No offence taken mate. I’m fortunate to live in an urban area with enough Inns, Greenhouses and Towers to be able to delete basic Ingredients, my perspective is to give the best gifts I can, my comments should not be seen in any other way, purely personal to me

Thank you @kiheikid and @OriginalCaruso. I'm really lucky to live here. My doctor has cleared me for cycling and short walks, so I am considering heading over there tomorrow, or at least in the next few days. Christmas is just another day over here (It is a 98% Theravada Buddhist population here in Thailand) but as I work in an international school, I get Christmas off.

Those photos were taken on my last visit, as I was trying out the camera on my phone, which was new at the time. It really is a gorgeous place and they are adding new features all the time. They have some genuine buildings that they have salvaged and relocated to the muse, buy most are replicas of historical monuments, usually as a smaller scale replica. They call it miniature, but as you can see, it is still big enough to walk around. The park is in the shape of Thailand and the monuments are placed roughly where you would find them in the country, which is really cool. And some of the monuments have been lost due to fires and demolition etc, so the replica in this museum is the only existing version (the green and gold pavillion is an example of that).

Sorry for hijacking the thread! Whoops! I just get very excited about this place!

@kiheikid Thanks. I am definitely still taking it easy. My foot is a little tender today so I am not even risking a trip out there. A shame, because it would help me walk off those 10km pretties as well as get some lovely gifts, but probably not worth it!

Nope, not the only one deleting the ingredient gifts. Since I’ve figured out the Inns, I only send Extravagant Spell gifts unless I happen to have an Extravagant Ingredient, Potion or Runestone Gift on hand.

As far as opening gifts go, I prioritize the higher XP gifts and after opening those I go down the list opening any regular gifts in a top to bottom pattern- always when using a Brain Elixir.
