Fortresses - App Crashing
My game has been crashing a lot when I play fortresses. It’ll work fine for one or two rounds, but anything more and it’ll lose its connection. I can sometimes restart the game, but more often than not the timer will run out and I’ll lose not only my runestone but the prizes I could have easily won if the game had been working properly. I also have issues any time I try levels higher than 8 or 9. Any recommendations?

Simple questions first:
have you made sure all your assets are downloaded? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?
Do you have wifi and mobile data both on? (if so, turn one off)
And if all these basics have failed then I step aside to let the smarter people attack the problem!
Thanks for the feedback! The only thing I haven’t tried yet is downloading all assets because I don’t think my phone has enough storage available to do that.
If you're able to just download essential assets that might help? Also rebooting the phone just to clear your cache can free up a little space (at least that's my fuzzy understanding of things).
I know not all phones can do this, but if able, I move any apps I can over to my SD card which is way bigger than my internal space. I know iPhone doesn't have this option though so it might not be a work around for you.
I might try downloading the essential assets! I’ve rebooted my phone a lot (almost every time I have issues with the game crashing), but it doesn’t seem to help much. I reinstalled the game today and I think that made it worse. I have an iPhone so I can’t use the SD card for extra storage.

Speed of internet connectivity has a part as well.
Once I was forting via free wifi provided by a shopping mall, the app kept crashing. The problem stopped after i switched to 4G
I play at a sponsored fortress with a group once a week, and we always have to turn off the free wifi before we start. Otherwise constant crashing or kicking us out of the battle. It might be something to try at least. Our auror is also on a different network than the rest of us, and she seems to have more trouble with her connection than the rest of us as well. One of the magi's turns on his hot spot on his phone and she joins that, and then she's usually good to go.
