Good, but a bit grindy. Graphics are pretty nice, the story has interesting development.
I do, however, have a few reservations. First off, the RNG is random and punishing. Seeing that deep green bar up on top tells me that I should have a reasonably high success rate at catching a confoundable, but that is not the case. In some cases, even after a masterful cast, confoundables flee. On the other hand, I've also succeeded at a severe situation without the use of any potion. This absolutely confuses me.
Secondly, my iPhone gets HOT. Too hot. The iPhone's screen will dim after a period of time, which this does to keep itself running. Playing Ingress Redacted doesn't give me this problem. I think it's the Unity engine that needs some work. PoGo gets hot, too.
Overall, 6/10. I imagine that there will be improvements over time.
I'm having a good time. I'm at level 12 and have been working hard at this event that just started too. I must look like a fool sometimes going through the portkeys while I'm down at the park haha!
I love Pokemon Go and still play 3 years in, but honestly I was just waiting for another game, something with a little more depth. HP:WU is a great step in that direction. Looking forward to its evolution over the next few years.
I'm loving it! It feels like whenever I pick up the game I always have something to do, whether walking to unlock my portkeys, completing fortresses, catching other foundables. I don't mind catching all the duplicates because there is a chance I get keys or something (unless Im looking for a specific type of foundable).
Its also getting me to explore more places as I look for some of the more rare portion ingredient drops (mushrooms and bitterroot, where you be?!?!) I've found a couple really cool parks near me and I've walked 50km so far! Thats amazing considering I work at a desk job and dont get active a lot.
The only two things I would want the game to change is to be more social, I feel no sense of community and have no way to talk to my local players. I've tried everything and I havent found one local group and I live in a populous area.
I love the game but it seems like they are holding back on features and its effecting the popularity.
It still feels sort of like its in a beta.
That being said, I still think the game is a solid 8.5/10 but easily could have been a 10/10. Not sure whats going on with the lack of social features, displaying cosmetics to friends, gifts, lack of pvp, lack of house contests etc. These really should have been in at launch.

I’m having a great time! This is my first time playing a game of this type.
Sonicgott, which iPhone do you have? I just traded up for an iPhone 8+, and my phone doesn’t get hot at all even during hours of play with AR on.
