how many red spell books from nov 2019 community day ??

just curious, how many red spell books were folks able to get during nov 2019 community day?
i received 13 total: 5 from rewards for completing the wizarding challenge assignments (2 for step three battling and 3 for step four battling), plus 8 from ranking up in challenge xp four times
the challenge xp rank ups were incidental to my primary objective of grrrrrinding for guaranteed drop fragments in tower chamber 1 and occasionally in tower chamber 2, not any higher ... although i probably did receive a decent amount of challenge xp teaming up with my wife to tackle forest chamber levels 2, 4, and 5 as set out in the challenge assignments. she had previously only conquered forest 4 solo, so it was nice to help bring her to forest 5.
i doubt either of us want to tackle dark chamber levels as a solo, now that we have seen how more efficient it is to do them as a duo (professor + auror) ... unless we get bored or crazy. for us, we do not feel the compulsion to climb a mountain simply because it is there ... especially when it takes so much resources ( potent & strong exstimulos, strong invigorations, wit sharpening, and healings ... plus spell energy ) to even try.
i think WU-tuber james wright aka @LekeyVelder said on his recap video that he wound up with 36 red spell books total (including the 5 rewarded red books from the challenge assignments) - he clearly was grrrrinding for challenge xp as his primary objective.

Probably 17 RB in total for the day, managed Dark 4 once but mostly Forest 2-5 and Dark 1-2 a few times
Used all my Exstimulo and Wit Sharpening potions, restocking now...
ps - before CD yesterday, i had 16 red books. the 5 from CD rewards got me to 21 red books, which i immediately spent - in game during CD - on step 3 of “Dementors” lesson for professor ...
(not sure why it is called “dementors”) ... to go from +104% to +124% in proficiency power.
if i had been smarter about it, i would/should have collected 6 red books first from grrrrinding to spend on this lesson, then gotten use of it when my wife and i tackled forest chamber levels 4 and 5 as part of the assignment. i did not feel/need the extra proficiency power while grrrrringing away down in tower chamber 1.
my remaining 8 red books will now be saved until i reach 21 red books again, so i can do “dementors” lesson step 4 and max out proficiency power to +150%.
i feel like a fat hamster trodding along on the hamster wheel, since these red books and lessons are only for enabling or facilitating ... what? yup, more fortress battles.

I used 30 RB increasing my stamina, one more upgrade left then I’ll start **** for the next lesson plan, 2423 scrolls awaiting use

I managed 23 (red) Spell books including the bonus rewards, soloing mainly Forest 3 to Dark 2.
I used 70 potions in total! Restocking will take at least a week. Well worth it, especially with all of the guaranteed fragments.
I got lucky as I happened to be out harvesting spell energy an hour or so before the event was meant to start, so when it started early I was ready.
Our local group was having fun chatting and chilling so we took some time before doing dark 5 several times. I think I got between 20-30 red books. I had enough to finish my lesson plan. That was my goal so I was happy to take it easy and enjoy the company. We met some other wizards that use Facebook. A wizard also drive about 40 min to meet up with our group for the first time. Overall it was a fun day.
I increased my challenge rank 11 times (from 79 to 90), so plus the bonus books and 7 more for finishing the silver elite foes achievement, I got 34 red books.
21 (5 from rewards) I am jonesing for red books. I need them to finish my last few classes for Auror. In frustration i started spending scrolls. I have completed everything in Professor that doesn't require red or green books and most of the classes in Magiczoologist not requiring books...it's all up the red and green hill from here!

somewhere in the 30-35 range on red spell books, enough at least to close out two more lessons on my auror tree with what i had already accumulated. we had a group of five and were able to get one professor from forest 2 all the way through dark 5. I used something to the tune of 75+ potions so there will definitely be a long haul to get back up to 105 from 25. Played at a sponsored fortress and walked away with almost three times the spell energy that I walked in with. all in all a fun CD!
