Due to the timezone issues with Community Day, we have extended the event by 1 hour for some regions.
If you are in a timezone where your event starts at 10am, your Community Day will still run until 2pm.
If you are in a timezone where your event starts at 11am, your Community Day will run until 3pm.
For those players in timezones that had an early start, please stay tuned for more info coming soon.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you to @HPWUFazes for discovering this issue and quickly escalating it to the rest of the HPWU team! Thank you to everyone who has reported and helped troubleshoot this issue!

Our event started at 11am but it did not extend to 3pm.... 😑
Mine did not extend either est. well got 3/4 any way. Not sure I could have accomplished 4. And man did I use up a bunch of energy and potions. Hope I do ok on next brilliant.
I used 6 Potent Exstimulo on one go at Dark 4 along with several Potent Invigoration, just managed to get through it. Dark 5 will have to wait...
my event has not yet started here in my time zone.
it was disheartening to read player’s complaints about lost potions, lost runestones, lost spell energy, and lost rewards because of event time messed up.
glad to see this thread announcement by game organizers in response, but hope they compensate for all resource losses.
In Belgium it only took 2 hours, to short to end it. I was almost there but it was an hour to short😭
Crushed when we fought our way through to the last fight on the last task and finally beat it but when we went to collect our reward it was gone. Admittedly, we went in at 1:55 but we were hopeful we would still get the reward. Losing out on the 100 coins and 100 energy really hurt after all that work and loss of potions.
I would like to see a week with challenge XP increased! It was fantastic for getting books but I’m still 100s of books away from finishing my tree and have 3000+ scrolls and over 30 green books I can’t use.
@HPWULola our event started an hour early but still ended at 1 so we did not get the extra hour promised. My group and I were finishing the final fortress chamber requirement when the event finished on us so we did not get credit for finishing. 😩
In our time zone Budapest it started at 10:00 instead of 11:00 and lasted until 1:00 and still could not play at 1:10. They were supposedly pushed to two, but we did not experience this. That's why we couldn't get the 100 gold.
Everyone is complaining about this event on FB groups.
I, too was really disheartened that the timing of the event was off. We had issues with players getting booted out of the fortress, too. In fact that had been going on for at least a day or two before that because I lost quite a few runestones leading up to the event.
That being said, the tasks, incentives and rewards for the event were wonderful! None of us ran out of energy, which is usually always an issue. We played at a sponsored fortress and the challenge xp was great (how about creating a potion that doubles the challenge xp, too?) Having specific tasks to complete along with rewards and spell books was amazing. With the extra challenge xp and spell book rewards I was able to advance in my profession during the event. The reduced brewing time on potions as well as more plentiful ingredients was great.
The challenge was definitely one that tested us as we advanced, too.
One suggestion I would make @HPWULola along with challenge xp potion idea, would be to allow us to stack baruffio potions. We had delays because our potion expired in 5 minutes so we couldn't start a new fortress and had to wait to add a new potion before the next battle. If we could have a potion ready to start once the 30 minutes were up, it would allow a better use of our time.
We did finish the tasks just in time which definitely made the experience better than those of you who lost out. I think all in, a great idea for Community Day, now you just need to work out the kinks. And I loved having it on Sunday!!
Ours started an hour early in Mississippi but ended on time at 2pm. The battles still lag costing precious seconds needed to fight off foes. I was in a sponsored Fortress in an area with full cell phone signal.
Also please consider adding in app news like the pokémon go app.
Looking forward to gifts in this game. Having a blast. Just wish I could've finished this community day.
@Mcfly13 same thing happened in Idaho, US. Ended at 1 instead of the promised 2.
@HPWULola
@LadyRedIII really?! We were ok up here in the north. Maybe because we’re in different time zones?🙁
@Dogoutlaw in the Seattle area the event started at 10 and went until 2.
@Bormacska we’re on pst as well in North Idaho, and we went 10-2. I thought they had it sorted for everyone in the States by the time they realized the issue. I wish daylight savings would just go away. Time zones are hard enough without all that dst non sense.
@Dogoutlaw maybe it was that! I feel like it’s silly for the southern part of the state to be on mountain time and the northern part to be on pacific anyway. #nonsensicaltime
@HPWULola - Having developed applications for global financial institutions for many years I am familiar with time zone issues and what I see with Community Day is the exact problem we engineer out at the database level
For those unfamiliar with time zone issues we want to know exactly “when something happened” as well as “what happened” and “by whom”. The only reliable way is to use the database server clock in UTC synced to NNTP service itself driven by an atomic clock. Yes there are timing issues even with atomic clocks - a long time ago I was a telecoms engineer and the network had 3 atomic clocks, but I digress
The complication for WU is the hand held device time can be set to anything the user wants, so there is no way to guarantee a player isn’t spoofing the time or at worse, their location
IMHO the answer is to open the Community Day for a 24 hour period set on the WU server and not run for an arbitrary 3 hour period. Doing so will give everyone the same fixed period to participate, create a level playing field and remove ambiguity as to which time zone a player resides in - imagine a player crossing time zones therefore having a huge advantage over others
This has been suggested by others but I hope my comments provide some background to understand the underlying problem, a sensible proposal to resolve the problem and lastly a way to ensure everyone gets equal opportunity to participate
