@HPWUTeam @HPWULola ... i am elevating to this feedback to this section in case it got lost as a comment in the activity area
i do understand that it may not be practical to identify each new member by name in the activity section announcements of who has joined ... after all, some might not ever make a single post and choose to simply read tips and solutions
but when the admin staff announced a “class” of members being promoted together to the next level here on this forum, that announcement identifies the first several such members by name and, presumably due to not enough space in a single announcement, unceremoniously lumps any and all remaining such members into “and __ others”
i am not addressing how some members may choose to reply to that initial announcement - that is up to such replying members whether to congratulate all, or some, or none at all by name or by collective “you guys”, etc
but i am addressing the EFFECT (not insinuating a bad intent) of naming some and not naming others, all of whom are in the same promotion class ... and that effect is validating those who are named but invalidating those who are not named.
just go back to high school or college graduation and the diploma ceremony. either everyone who earns that accomplishment gets named, or no one gets named. that is simple equal dignity and recognition for all members who earn the same promotion. and that is different than recognizing individuals for individual accomplishment.
your decision as admin staff to promote a class of individuals by whatever metrics you use, should honor and recognize everyone in that class with ... well, CLASS. equal dignity. equal recognition.
thanks for listening.
