@HPWUTeam @HPWULola ... i am elevating this feedback that might otherwise get lost in the recent activity area of the forum ...

i understand the logistical difficulty of specifying every new person who joins by name - after all, they may or may not stick around without ever posting anything

however, if you all are going to identify some members by name when promoting them to the next level, then frankly everyone in the same class should be afforded the same treatment and distinction in your announcement, instead of being unceremoniously lumped together as part of “and __ others”

if a member wants to collectively congratulate all or none or less than all by name or by collective “you guys” or “you all”, that is up to the member.

but when this forum’s admin team is making the promotions announcement in the activity area, this practice of naming some, but not others, has the effect of validating those who are named and invalidating those who are not, even though they are in the same promotion class.

just think back to high school or college at the diploma ceremony. either everyone gets named, or no one should get named (unless a special award is being handed out) ... but everyone in the same boat should be treated the same way.

this is not to invalidate anyone who might argue for disparate treatment ... this is to argue and stand up for what is the right and proper and fair way that you forum admins ought to treat your members ... with equal dignity and recognition.

thank you for listening.
