Any hints on the best places to search for these spawns? Not much luck locating these, although I did manage one of each randomly. However, I have never even seen a Quidditch Captain Harry.
there is a theory that if you want to find traces of medium threat level or higher for a particular family X, go to a nest for any different family Y and wait to see, among all the Y traces in that family Y nest, traces of family X because that will eliminate automatically the more common, lower-threat occurrences of other family X traces. not clear whether popping a Tonic for Trace Detection while in that family Y nest would increase even further the chances for encountering the family X traces of medium threat level or higher.
They truly are an enigma!! Sooo hard to find in the wild. Playing since day one- i only have 3 swooping evil. It was just pure luck each time, not in the flagged DA area, just on my usual route which is between 2 COMC zones.
So it's a case I think of just patience and sheer determination.
In the early days there was- and itl b still there somewhere a whole thread just about the elusiveness of McGonagall !! Truly an enigma!
Then one day i caught her- oooomg I was so excited couldn't wait to put it on the confoundables thread, theres lots on there about us all trying to find her! Lol. Again, not a flagged area, just on routes i normally take at different times.
We have seemed to find though- hopefully this will make u feel better about it - once u catch one- suddenly- for some totally unexplainable reason- they then show up a lot more! Its weird lol.
