so, i had a great time ... and would rather have this event too easy (even if monotonous ****) than too hard.
in addition to rewards from event’s assignments (including 1 restricted section green book and 2 red spell books),
i placed the images of each of tom riddle sr gravestone, magic is might statue, and knockturn alley sign ... and it only took approximately 50+ level 1 runestones, 4 level 2 runestones, and 2 level 3 runestones from my dark arts runestone haul from community day. truth be told, most of the time, the level 2 and 3 runestones called basilisks and those were the times i more often than not got denied on any dark arts fortress foundable fragment at all.
i ranked up a ton in dark arts family registry and received mostly level 4 and 5 runestones in the process ... and finished up for today at rank 62 in dark arts (and definitely was less than rank 40 before the day started).
i earned an additional 6 red books (not including the 2 red spell books from finishing the assigments) from challenge xp rank ups. i played exclusively in the harrowing halloween chamber at sponsored at&t fortress today, plugged in at mall charging station within reach of both fortress and a single inn.
at times i even used fortress to slowly gain spell energy. each wizarding challenge in HHchamber at at&t returned 2 spell energy as part of reward. if i let my foes **** themselves 40 points at a time via prof. det hex, i did not have to fire off a single spell and could just sit back and farm spell energy plus occasional fragments i was trying to collect. however, this was too time-intensive, so once i could confirm that this can be done, i went back on offense to speed through things.
most of the time, my foes combo was 3 dark witches (my proficiency as professor). most of the time, my wife’s fors combo was 2 dark ministry officials (her proficiency as auror).
i reached 86/100 elite foes defeated for that achievement rewarding another 7 red spell books after 100/100. so glad every basilisk is an elite foe. plan to go back tomorrow to grind for basilisks and try to hit 100/100 on that elite foes achievement ... will use higher level dark arts runestones in HHchamber to improve my chances of encountering basilisks.
the dark arts foundables that appeared more frequently today were not the rarer ones i was hoping to see (but so far today, i have not seen) ... eg, swooping evil, percival graves, and tom riddle jr.
The image in the first post is classic Halloween, in case you missed it there are pumpkins. And Vampires. And Werewolves. Which didn't feature at all. (True, they were there for Community Day. Still, no pumpkins anywhere, either growing or carved and floating)
There were five foes on that picture. The Special Assignments picture only showed the three. But that only appeared yesterday. Unfortunately, all we had was those three. Or rather, two and one, as the Basilisk always seems to appear alone.
"Harrowing Halloween Chamber where Dark Arts Runestones will unlock unique foes including a Dark Witch, a Dark Ministry Official and Slytherin's Basilisk, all of which grant increased Dark Arts Family XP."
Yep, that's all they will unlock. While "including" makes it sound like there will be more.
Again, and again, and again, (without any way to bypass the timer), we are treated to the same dreadful animations for the Dark Witch and Dark Ministry Official, which really should never have been approved. Not even a "Oh, the Ministry Official was Imperiused, so that's why she's moving that way".
This particular post also mentions a special chamber. Before, I seem to recall being told about higher chambers giving you a better chance to see the Basilisk. That special chamber unlocks unique foes, but did they have to be limited to three ?
There's only one room, and the **** is even more obvious than usual. You don't even get to place the new Foes, once you've grabbed the six you need for the Assignment that's it.
Once more, they didn't even try to balance the experience. Community day was too hard for beginning players, while this was too easy for older ones. Another chamber with higher difficulty would have solved part of this.
After at last listening and giving us local times for the last community day, they reverted to giving us Pacific Time. Way to be international. Still no sign of inworld notices, and the one I received in "French" was bad. As in "Google probably translated that" bad.
Still, I'll keep the word used instead of "Harrowing". "Atrocious".
I've been seeing "it's still a new game" posts, but no, it's not. It was in alpha, then in beta, and has been "official" since late June.
And even if that could explain some technical problems, that doesn't explain any of the terrible communication, or the sub-par "plot".
I'm tired of ****, I'll just claim back that space on my phone's memory, and help the planet by not having to charge my phone every single day.
I just finished the Halloween challenge in just a few hours, but the first 2 times I played in the fortress using a level 4 and 5 runestone, I noticed that the game took all my running stones for those levels. I don't know if anyone else has had that problem, but with the game still freezing up and not giving me credit for items. I think I that I am seriously going to delete this game as the problems are not getting fixed when I notify the developers of the problems I am having
was not sure i’d get all the remaining ginny weasley fragments in time (before end of halloween event), but finally saw and grabbed 24/24
if you had asked me before october, i would have bet that ginny weasley would be the last foundable image placed on my current LOH registry page 1, instead of the first
Seeing Ginny everywhere was very annoying for me, as I needed just one more Dummy to Prestige the page to gold. And it took clicking every single Hogwarts Legend all day long until Wednesday evening. Ginny was in most of them, and of course the usual ever present fire fowl... I don't know how many Ginnies went to the useless pile instead of the gold page, but enough to place her there too.
Pretty much like the pixies for the two weeks this month. Who needs to see so many when you need so few, and when you're out at dawn and only want to see Doxies ? Frustrating.
I hope you get that last needed Dueling Dummy soon, @DubiousAffairs ... that is a rare one for me too and I suspect it will be the last one I need to prestige my page, now that Ginny was boosted during this Halloween event.
