Also, @Owlx, you've probably already heard but in case you haven't, all professions have a strategic spell they can spam to reach that achievement a little faster. There are several tricks posted out there. As a professor playing mostly solo, I would defeat all but one of the foes in a fortress challenge, then spam my mending charm on myself until I had just enough time left to defeat the last foe. The mending charm costs zero focus, and you can use it every six seconds.
@Acumen I have started been doing that. I did read that tip hear. I usually use BBE in fortresses so I also want to finish as many battles in 30 lunch break as possible.
In fact I was almost level 30bwhen I learned in this forum that that charm was for healing.😯.
@Whitehorsematt I was all about ingredients 2. I was so excited to get to 2000 ingredients collected. Then I saw that I needed 20,000 to get through ingredients 3, and I decided I'd get there.... eventually. I'm just over 7k out of 20k, I figure I'll finish it before the 1st anniversary next summer.
I am just SO LAZY when it comes to waiting for those 5 seconds to pass, haha. BUT! That being said, I will try harder, because I definitely want those sweet sweet red books!
@Acumen thanks for the tip. I thought I was using the health spell. But since reading you post I spend almost a minute just before the end the last battle using that spell. I've increase strategic spell count by over 200 spells this week.

I've also fight a few chambers lower than normal so I have more time.
What!? Wait....so do Aurors have one of those they can use!? I thought it was just Magiz with healing spell. I must have missed/been half asleep reading those posts a while back!
I'm only on 1845 at min & was thinking itl be forever!
@AuroraKadavra I think the strategic spell for Aurors is the one that gives focus and I read that it doesn’t have a count down timer. I can’t remember who posted it, but I remember reading about it in another thread - if you can find another Auror, go into the fortress with them and just continue to give each other focus and you’ll get to the 3000 strategic spells quite quickly.
@Imaginatio is right. If you can battle with another auror, you just keep swapping focus. If no other auror or solo, you would spam your bat bogey hex. In the lower chambers where you’re able to defeat foes quickly, you’d do the same as magizoos and profs with their mending charm, except you’d be doing your hex on the last foe.
I finished this a while ago. As a Profesor I just kept throwing my mending charm at everyone, including myself when doing solo fortresses. It takes some dedication as you have to wait 6 seconds, but the red book reward is worth the time and effort.

I know how you feel, it’s definitely worth it though. I broke it down to 3 ‘grinds’ a day. It’s surprising how quickly you’ll finish it. Good luck!
