Woohoo @kiheikid way to go with Newt!! Yesterday for me it was McGonagall! I was thrilled as she is elusive.

    @LeFayeofAlbion - 🎉fantastic!!

just curious, what makes a dance qualify as a dork dance ? does it resemble the “funky chicken” ?

Here’s a question - since we are currently doing the ice confoundables event is Dumbledore an ice confoundable? I know he has the awful same cast but I haven’t seen a single solitary one of him and I haven’t seen him since fall so I can’t remember what groups he is in.

Great haul @LeFayeofAlbion!! Congrats! What fortress level are you trying to get your Quidditch Pitch Stand in? I got it this last week by only doing ruin level 5 but finally got the last one out of 5 tries. I had been working on it for a couple of months. So it wasn’t easy.

@ClairabusGryff Dumbledore has an inferi confoundable (like Riddle), and inferi don’t like fire, so same spell, but different confoundable. I don’t think it’s included in this event.

Ahh haa! Thank you @Dogoutlaw! The two Foundables I have the least of are Tom Riddle and Dumbledore I am at two of each currently. Any theories as to why they are so rare for a magizoo?

@ClairabusGryff I don’t think traces on the map are tied to profession. Hubby is mz and gets same traces as me typically. He’s even ahead of me on Dumbledore because he finds them out and about while I’m still at work. They’re just rare, like most red beam traces. We do pretty good on Riddle, but probably because our downtown area is practically a big DA flagged area. No LOH area here tho, so Dumbledore is much harder to come by for us.

    Haha thanks y’all.

@kiheikid my dork dance is sort of like Amy Santiago’s dork dance from Brooklyn 99 but with less arm movement because I’m too self conscious with taking up space but not enough to automatically bust a move 😂

@ClairabusGryff I’m an Auror and this is the first time I’m seeing Dumbledore and I rarely see Riddle, but my magizoo friend sees them all the time!

@Dogoutlaw I actually hang out in an LOH flagged area (there’s a bookshop cafe there) but never in all these months did I come across a Dumbledore, and it always annoyed me that all my friend (the same one from above, that lucky duck) had to do was pass by that area and he’d get Dumbledore. In fact, we were playing together the times I’ve got Dumbledore or the Weasley’s flying car, or the penseive. I suspect he has felix felicis on him. 🧐

it’s been so rainy & windy here the last 24 hours or so, that we’ve just had to batten down the hatches and hope the power doesn’t go out. no going out, in weather like this.

but, having a horned serpent come to the living room is a nice consolation prize.

Has anyone else noticed that when using the max 3 dark detectors that it increases your chances of severe or emergency foundables. I’ve noticed this, managed to get my last 3 unicorns in the last week doing this.

No problem @kiheikid not sure if you’ve seen the update that CD will see dark detectors returning only high, severe and emergency threats also. Gotta love that Orangewizard

@HKR84 - thank you, yes, and i’m glad i saved up a bunch. thinking about going to a cluster of 3 inns in town and unleashing triple DDs on each of them during CD!

My question about stacking DD's on inn's during a CD is will it attract other family rare foundables or just WWW? Or is it like bringing sand to a beach? If those rare traces are going to be everywhere especially with a TTD then why use DD? @kiheikid

@ClairabusGryff - i am hoping DDs during CD bring in emergency, severe, and high, threat level foundables of all exploration families (not only WWW). during non-CD usage of DDs, there is still a bunch of lesser value stuff brought in by the DDs, so that should be eliminated during CD. dreaming of catching fish in a barrel, so to speak. currently have 29 DDs.

@ClairabusGryff I have the DDs to spare as I don’t use them much so as I’m limited with how long I’m going to able to participate for the event I’m just going to use what I can to get as many foundables to appear it’s a good way to level up with the extra XP on CDs. Plus me and my manager have a bet on who can get to 40 first and I don’t want to lose my lead 🙈🤣 I haven’t read anything about TTD guaranteeing only bringing back WWW foundables but I might have missed it? 🤷🏽‍♀️

@ClairabusGryff if other events are any indication yes there should be lots of other rare foundables in addition to WW. The number of players can affect the spawn rate too.

Side note -3 DD from 3 different people on the same inn will bring more rare spawns.

I also save my DD for events.

Worth noting part 4 of next week brilliant event requires 3 DD (part 3 will award 1. DD)

December community day our group light up all 27(?) Inns in the Mall of America with 3DD per inn. We got lots of emergency, severe spawns, and rare from that event. 5 McGonagals in 1 day. Weasley car, and Several Newts, Graves.

Wow that is impressive @Owlx ! I can only imagine 27 inns stacked with DD. That would be like a HP heaven!!

I am quite low on DDs at the moment, so will have to save for the brilliant event. I tend to splurge all at once and burn through them. And with my broken foot at Christmas, camping out at a lit up inn was the best way for me to play.

Flares every where. It was amazing! We had then lit up for a 3 hours!!!! One of the group reported 300k XP for the event. Lots of portkey walking.

We also coordinated leapingtoad stools several GH, maxed yields so the popped while we were all there.

How cool that must have been to see @Owlx! @Magpie31 I know the feeling ! The last CD I had just had a major injection and movement of any kind put me into high pain. I can't imagine trying to walk, even with a walking boot or cane!

Thanks @Owlx I am considering a US trip this summer, but was only planning NYC and Niagara. Could be worth checking the budget and seeing if I could squeeze in a little visit!
