Hello so I'm a magizoologist and have come across the SOS assignment for the formidable pixies. How exactly do I go about finding them? Any help appreciated.

@HufflepufPrince There are other threads on the topic of Formidable pixies as well, but the short answer is persistence in the fortress. Professors come across them a lot more than the other professions. I’m a Magizoologist as well, so it took me a while and quite a few battles to get them all. Keep to the higher levels of the ruins chamber and the lower levels in the tower chamber. You can get them in others, but it depends. Also for the task, I mainly stuck to using level one and two runestones.

I'm also a magizoo and last week ended my two month fight to find the pixies. And of course right after I finished the task, I got two more...
So at first I tried to find the pixies by fighting as a magizoologist. But at some point I just got tired of getting disappointed every time I enter the fortress, so every time I wanted to fight, I switched temporarily to Professor. As a Prof, I made only so much progress in the lesson plans, so that I can fight up to the fourth chamber. I didn't use any red books to do that, only scrolls. I found the pixies mostly in chambers 2-4 with level 1 or 2 rune stones. I used mostly Oddities, Care of Magical Creatures, Magizoology and Dark Arts rune stones, but I'm not sure it made much of a difference.
For magizoologists the pixies show up in higher chambers, but I don't have much of a statistics, where and how exactly.
