I'm very new to the Niantic world, so this might already be obvious to everyone else LOL...
My daughter has played Pokemon Go since the beginning. She tells me that things in HPWU world often follow the way things are done in the PoGo game world, which makes sense since both are Niantic games.
That being said, I'm hoping the Fan Featival will occur every year just like GoFest does.
On a personal note: daughter and I were fortunate enough to attend the FanFest and it far exceeded my expectations. It was one of the top 10 days of my life.
