Are professions similar to teams in Pokemon Go? Should I pick the same team as my friends or a different one?

    the houses are more like the teams. Professions are your skill sets. Its best to be different among a group of friends

    I did find some guides when I did some research that can give you some information on what each profession does, specializes in and some other details. I'm not posting a link because I'm not sure that is allowed but if you are interested you look it up. Having said that I'm still not sure which to choose lol

    Pick a profession based on your gameplay. At this stage:

    Professors are your All-Rounders: Good attack, defence and support.

    Magizoologists are Support: Healing and Reviving. Not very good attack, but high HP.

    Auror are pure damage (Most consider this class the weaker of the three.): High damage output and can share Focus within the party.

    Do you want to heal or tank? Be Magizoologist.

    Do you want to PWN? Be an Auror.

    Do you want to be a jack of all? Be a professor.


    Your profession is really only applicable in fortress battles.

    Don't forget that you are not stuck in a profession. You can always switch between them. Scrolls invested in a particular skill remain in that tree.

    I decided to go with professor for now since it seems to be the most well balanced. I am glad there is the option to switch. I am intrigued by the possibility of using different professions and see how they work.

    @Rhaynne that's not a good idea to swap ur profession. Scrolls&Books dat u invested in one profession will not be available for another profession.

    and in the game there is no opportunity to reset skill points. even for money.

    Thank you for your input @Nikas I know that the scrolls and books wont transfer but I did read they will stay with that profession.
