Is it possible to request more places to go around my neighborhood? I live in a pretty urban area but I find there aren't many inns or fortresses. I have a greenhouse across the street but anything else would take quite a while to get to by walking. I'm limited to how much I can walk, but I would really like to play more.

I live in a rural area and there nothing even in walking distance. I've contacted the support page and asked on the issue and they say they don't have the tools to add locations by request.
I too live in a rural area and a number of the community centres, libraries, even my own church where I work have been over looked in adding stops (inns, greenhouses, or fortresses).
We need tools to request new locations and have those requests heard!

@Sparktastic The in game locations are derived from the game Ingress. High level Ingress players can submit landmarks although there is no guarantee they will make it into HPWU and it certainly won't happen quickly.
You can find out about requirements for landmarks by researching Ingress Portal Submission Requirements and you can find a local high level Ingress player on your favorite social network. I kept meaning to submit additional portals in my neighborhood but never did, now I am kicking myself.
Osprey has it right. We played Ingress for about a year and because of that, we have a lot of Inns and Fortresses in our little village.
