a bit anti-climactic for me but i finally completed brilliant christmas calamity week 2 registry page when brilliant portkeys 3/5, 4/5, and 5/5 opened this morning ... funny thing is that i had probably travelled at slow enough speed for 7 MILES since putting keys in them and they were still sitting at 2.8km as of last night when i went to bed. this morning, while i am still having my morning coffee and not having ventured out yet, portkeys opened. what the cluck??, as @ClairabusGryff would say. still, better late than never. but the distance counter on these portkey portmanteaus **** ( i don’t want another warning so i just directly typed stars and y’all can fill in your own choice word ).
@kiheikid it is weird how some days that portkey counter just hummmsss along and we get that beautiful purple screen and get to use our beautiful gold key to open another. But then we have the days like last Saturday AKA CD for me when I walked 4 miles and my portkey was at .9 and didn't move for an hour of walking, like on my feet with my phone open and on. Not the kind where I drive/cruise through empty parking lots of large shopping centers on Saturday and Sunday early mornings looking for my sweet little doxies and open like 200 portkeys. Just saying...
(nods the fool who’s back at Target for 2nd time in three days right before Xmas ... but at least i finished the bonus assignments here, got my final 3 red books, and then spent 30 red books for another stamina boost)
mahalo, @AquaSaiRose , and congratulations to you as well. you must be (relieved)(happy) getting so close to finishing the auror skill tree. i wish i were that close, too, but i am a professor

i used to look forward to leveling up. now, the rewards seem not as special as before, so someone remind me, please, why are we all grrrinding so hard ?
That is how I feel about event tasks... Can't have one thing sitting there undone! I am down to my last three on 12 task, and they should be easy enough to finish. Need a couple more inns and then a few more traces. Getting there, though. Should be finished tomorrow.

Yes, Yes it’s the feeling that something is unfinished. I agree @Bormacska, @kiheikid, and @Magpie31. You feel it tugging at you and you just have to complete the task.
I know it’s the OCD in me, but heck I love 💕 playing too.
I mean I’m getting up late nights to go get my ingredients from the greenhouse. That’s dedication and of course I’m serious about ingredients I really need. Hahaha 😂
for awhile, @AquaSaiRose , HPWU disrupted by sleep patterns as i started waking up, without an alarm, EVERY FREAKIN’ DAY before dawn to try to catch a doxy or two. after succeeding in placing the image and then prestiging that page (and now finding the new target of 100 doxies way too far away to matter any more), i am happy to report i am sleeping normally again
@Bormacska It isn't really a sentence, 5hough. In English it is Rewards Summary. In German, it just becomes a compound noun instead of sating Summary of Rewards. I had never really considered how it would be translated, but it absolutely makes sense! I am half German myself :)

But thought id quickly share last few days highlights. Im still to do the fortress parts of bonus tasks & 12 tasks! Very late for me! How rude for real life to get in the way!!! 😂

After a long stretch of not much interesting, I had a great run last night. I got a unicorn, my final fragment to place Pavarti, a veil (2 away from prestiging the page), Dumbledore!, and finally my last swooping evil which allowed me to prestige my first non-event non-oddity uncommon page!
So, probably a boring brag for everyone else, but I went on a very short walk today (in my walking boit for safety). It was only a few hundred metres each way, just to my closest fortress, but it is the first time I have done a walk like that in weeks! So all the runestone gifts I gave today are extra special (even though they are basic) because I walked there myself to get them!
@kiheikid Danke sehr! As for the thanks, you are absolutely welcome. I enjoy being able to share a little bit of this beautiful country with others. Even the "dull" PoIs show people a bit more about life over here. I still have family and friends in the UK who think Thailand is all wooden huts and rice fields. And sure, that is true if you go out to the villages (there is a village where I volunteer that fits that description perfectly!) but there is a lot more to Thailand than that. And the cities are just as modern and metropolitan as anywhere else!
As for not rushing my recovery, I am really not. I have no desire to be back in a cast anytime soon!
