@Gatorella There are many ways to get the Runestones from this event..you can capture many fragments from this event to get 40. Some will give you 3 or 4 per win. You need to get 40 to get a runestone. You can also walk your way to runestones. Once you get 3k portkey unlocked, you may get some there. Get 2 or 3 unless you need all fragments of the crest. Play in the tower at a higher level. I think higher levels give you a higher chances.

Didn’t catch anything special today. Stuck in the office for most of the day and came home feeling too mentally exhausted to focus on a game. Cooked food and listened to music instead. Also, I topped off my rye flour with spelt flour because I didn’t have the light on in the pantry and I’m a big dumb dummy-head. Tomorrow will be a better day.
@Gatorella i hit jackpot with the first brilliant portkey i opened today - kept getting the brilliant family symbol on successive taps of wrackspurts
unfortunately reward page did not show (will have to report that bug), but i think 3 or 4 of the 5 wrackspurts were brilliant family symbols, and another was a unicorn hair
when i went to brilliant registry page, it ranked up twice and i got two brilliant runestones, all stemming from the brilliant family xp from this one portkey (do not recall how many family cp out of 40 i started with before opening portkeys)
of course i completely struck out with the second brilliant portkey rewards — a valerian root, seven abraxan hairs, and two ground scarabs, all very common ingredients
i have been saving my keys, so i am using only one gold key and one silver key in two brilliant portkeys at a time
Ugh! So frustrated! 4 more runestones used at tower level 1 and no Madiy crests. If this keeps me from my precious restricted section books I’m going to be so mad! I have plans for those books.
@Ministrumpan The guy in chains? It's Olivander of the wand shop. He's found in the port keys as fragments. Keep picking up the purple port keys and walking to open them. Hope that helps!

@Ministrumpan you will need 5 brilliant olivander in chains fragments (ie, the dude on the right). you should be able to accomplish that by opening five of the purple-tinged brilliant portkey portmanteaus that you pick up and then unlock by sticking in a key and “walking” (or slowly biking or driving) off 3km while the app is open
of course that can be done sequentially with only one gold key or simultaneously (if you have enough silver keys) or some combo of gold + silver.
i decided that i would allot 2 silver keys from my collection (you get silver keys when you level up, sometimes as a daily gift in months of 31 days, and sometimes as a ranfom gift in traces ... or buying them for gold coins), and use my re-useable gold key rest of time:

i have 2.4k left on my fifth portkey and hope to finish that tomorrow when i go into town, so for now i have 4/5 of those fragments
I think I messed up before getting to stage 3, I got too excited and used the event runestone in fortresses and so already had 2/3 of the Malfoy Crescent before getting to this stage... Does anyone know if I'll still be able to get more fragments, even though I've maxed out the amount needed for the registry page? I've only got 1 fragment for the task and completed 4 or so fortresses since with the event runestone but not luck so far getting more, worried now I wont be able to complete the event.
@Megglygreg You can still get the Malfoy Family crest fragments even if you place the image on the event registry page. It can just be a bit random in the fortress, as you’re not guaranteed the fragment every time. Just keep at it with the fortress battles, you’ll get there. 😊
I did the same thing, @Megglygreg. Once I got to the next quest that includes the task to gather the crest image fragments, I realized I had jumped the gun. Like @Imaginatio said though, no harm done. You can still get more.
Unfortunately, it's entirely random @Am4nd4. Some players will get lucky and be three-for-three on challenges/fragments. Others will be very unfortunate and have to complete a dozen or more challenges just to the the three required fragments. Some feel like you're more likely to get the fragments you need on higher fortress chambers, like the Forest or Dark chambers. I think it depends on your profession rank, and you just need to go with whatever chambers are the highest recommended for your current level. We're all just guessing though. Sorry about the bum luck! Keep fighting and you'll get 'em.
i have been out walking different times of the day. And still not encountered fluffy. Is there a specific time of the day or is it only when you use the trace tonic?
fluffy/3head-dog is emergency (red plume) threat level, so probably very rare in usual circumstances
i have encountered “them” twice, first 2 days ago in the morning with tonic on during task 1, and then again today when in the late afternoon when i popped a tonic to go xp ****
i believe it likely that i would not have seen “them” but for the tonic use in those 2 instances

Glad to report teen is now free from the grips of the bad cold thank goodness- it was a real stinker. I'm soooo grateful I don't get colds!
Just absolutely lovin this event, grabbing some family xp since i finished the tasks & really trying to prestige those pages with doxies & erklings whilst they are in great supply. Awesome!

So far I was able to 2 of the three headed dogs... both using the tonic and oddly enough under 2 min left.. anyone else see something different.

This event is so much fun. I've run into the registry bug. And it bugs me a little. But it's not causing any loss of assets-runestones or Xp
So I figure the developers will fix it.

Finally made it out of level 3 (Malfoy crest was a beast) and completed level four!
@Ministrumpan like you, I have yet to see fluffy, even with a trace Tonic. I think it just depends.

I’ve been lucky.. the 1st 2 tonic potions, I got two of the 3 headed dogs... the 3rd time, I got 2 of them... no more tonics.. need to brew more
