What is going on with base XP for foundables?

So when you return a foundable the base XP is 50 (for the most common category). When you prestige a page to bronze the base XP for that family increases to 75. I then prestiged a bronze page into silver and base XP for that family then dropped from 75 to 50.
Why is bronze XP higher than silver?
