September 21 2019 Community Day Problems - No spell energy on map for iphone, No free store pack

I encountered these issues while playing during the Community Day event today. My friend was with me using an iPhone, and while android users in my group all found lots of energy on the map, not a single bit of energy appeared for the person using the iPhone. Also, the free store pack did not appear during the event. The icon appeared after the event had completed, but tapping it just took me to the store with no freebies available. Anyone else have any issues like this?

I found 2 spell energy on the map in 3 hours on my iPhone, busy city centre. Real let down to be honest.
Finding spell energies on the map was hard for a "zoom out" camera. But I managed to get 30-40 spell energies for a half-hour walking. And free pack was just there for the 3-hours community. Not look like the last cd.

It hasn't started here yet but the store pack is usually here by now and it's not. Thanks for the heads up. I will change my strategy .
@ELEUTHERIA I think it was said that the pack will only be available during the three hours of the event. That was the case for me. I hope you enjoy the event.😊

@Faithnoelle Did you check the time of the event for your region? The time isn’t the same for everyone.
I found two Erumpent horns and one spell energy drop in the first few minutes. I just spent over 20 spell energy getting one time turner, and most of those were Great or Masterful, not to mention spending several minutes of my Brain Elixir on one Trace!
No free pack. Just a bundle offer. And was having a really hard time since last night connecting. Kept getting server error message in great wi fi areas. Two energy spells. And one time Turner. The dragon day was way more productive in the same area. Very disappointed.
I had zero issues the whole time. My boyfriend was having connectivity issues until we discovered he needed to do a system update on his phone. Some of the comments here about not being able to connect sound similar to what was happening to him in the beginning. Hope this info helps🙂
In Calgary, spent three hours downtown walking. Saw six erupment horns total. Traces were more difficult than usual and saw very little energy other than in inns.
Actually very dissatisfied.
I'm an iPhone user and found lots of spell energy on the map. Had no issues with getting the complimentary gift from Diagon Alley. Sorry your friend had trouble. That's no fun.
I joined an hour late. Still had a good foundable day. Still didn't see anyone else out playing 😔 36000+ XP for a few hours is a good day.
I didn't get the free bundle 😕 I saw the special for sale pack. I checked the pop up icon on the map and the store. No freebie.
I made good use the the cauldron time 😋. Would love to see that again for All Hallow's Eve.
Found lots of spell energy and eurumpent horns. Between the inns and the map energy was never under 85 for the 2 hours I was out.
Place 3 images in the registry. Oddly enough only 1 of them was from today's group.
Would love to see the developers put energy on the map for players in rural areas to help their game play.
Iphone user here. Found some energy on the map. When you click on the gift icon on the main page it’ll take you to a SOS pack that you have to buy, scroll up and you’ll find the free gift pack. The enery on the map only gives you 3 energies, when I go to Inns and get the tea it only gives out 3, not the max they promised.
I suspect the freebie store pack may have been part of the assets I downloaded this morning. If this is the case, it would have been easy to miss. I play every day and I make sure I have all assets downloaded before big events, so it was strange to me that this was so last minute. It may have been for something else, but I’m curious if those who missed out on the free gift had downloaded those assets or not.
No problem with finding spell energy, but in the middle of a wizarding challenge had server problems that kicked me out of the challenge. Restarted my phone got a issues message about using potions to help you in wizarding challenges. I'm almost level 32, good beer I know for to use potions by now. Pretty much a waste of the brain elixir. Quit early, but still found most of the time turners.
The pack was not free for me ... it was 200 coins! Needless to say I did not purchase. I did get free energy though
I downloaded game assets right before community day started. I have an iPhone and has no issues. I found plenty of spell energy, erumpets, and got the free box no problem.
Pack didn't show up in my store untill 1 hour into the event. Only found a few spell energy on the map.But i did get all 15 time-turners
I played in a different area today where inns were NOT plentiful. Ironically, there were lots of fortresses and a few greenhouses. Strange....how can you battle without ready inns nearby? I wasted lots of time trying to find energy. I had to quit multiple traces because I ran out of energy. I did find lots of erumpants and ended up collecting enough time turners to place the image so mission accomplished.
I do agree that having some energy on the map to pick up would be wonderful. If you are in suburbia or a rural area the inns are few and far between and the greenhouses are unreliable sources of energy.
I enjoyed the zippy cauldron, but couldn't take advantage of it as my vault was full.
There was no free pack in my area. There was a special pack for $200 coins. The spell energy was little hard to find. And it wasn't until I got into a city that anything else appeared.
@Herm10neG92 the pack was regardless of asset download. I don't have room on my phone anymore after a few of the updates so I've turned off the notification for updates.

The free pack was available for me, but I had to scroll up to see it. Every time I opened the store, it immediately showed the 200 gold pack; the free pack was hidden above it.
I was also having connectivity issues. I updated everything yesterday so I wouldn't miss out on anything today, but still had issues.
I did find a bunch of Erumpet horns, so yay! Not so yay, was the pop up message saying the new tonic was able to be brewed at a reduced time, when the event started. I immediately started one brewing then saw there was no time reduction. 🤦♂️ Couldn't brew anything else until hours after the event ended.
Despite the issues I still had fun. Even if I got snubbed by the half dozen other players I tried to interact with.
My hubby did the same with the free store pack, when u click it opens & the pay for bundle shows up, but if you clicked off that then scroll up where it looked like there wasnt anywhere to scroll up to- the free pack was there.
He was about to click out & said theres no free pack for me- when i showed him where it was. Hoping that helps for next time if you scroll about the pack is there just not on show as u open up diagon alley.
@SamuelHaight @AuroraKadavra My experience with the free pack (IPhone here) was identical to yours. The pay bundle showed up first, free bundle was hidden above it. Initially I thought I didn't receive it until I scrolled back up.
Android user, for me the pack was available at a discounted rate. I opted not to make a purchase.
Similar issues, zero Erumpet horns.... Spell energy was there but few and far between. My pack didn't give me any energy either, I got everything else though. I found the event rather disappointing.
I have an android also and had the gift icon but it wasn't free it was a purchase item.
@R2mV2019 yeh thats how it worked for me - when I clicked the gift icon that took me straight to the pay 200 bundle, but i clicked off that one, the page then just showed the diagon alley usuals, but i then scrolled up & the pack was there.
I suppose it being only available for 3hrs meant people didnt get chance to go back in & have a good look around later. Sorry to all those who missed it! That's not good.
Sadly it was during moving day for me so I only got to participate for 30 mins. The free pack in the store was not there for me until I closed it and then went to the store again, then I had to wait until it refreshed and then scroll up and it was there. I have a Moto phone so the game has lots of glitches still. Especially around portkeys. I found 2 erumpet horns, a little spell energy on the ground and traces that drained my spell energy even with masterful spell casting. It was an okay event for what I could do.
