I just got it too!!! And the extra ingredients... I have an open spot to brew a potion but it doesn’t give the option to brew it yet. Do we have to have a potions lesson first lol smh.

It seems that this potion is akin to incense in pokemon go. The amount of ingredient and time investiture seems a bit high. This may be worthwhile in the event that it has a tendency to spawn more rare traces, but otherwise I don't see much use for it. The only other use I could see is if it is affected by the zone flags, you can use it to try to spawn more frequently for that type of foundable. As I experiment with it, I will post my findings as to the answer of those parts towards its usefulness.
We'll have to see how those ingredients can be found, too.
Update the app and you can see it in potions anand brew if need be!

I wonder if this potion will increase spawn of dragons too!
@LeFayeofAlbion I haven't seen dark detectors spawn oddities so my first thought would be that it is unlikely. However, as I use a few I will post back with my findings. Need to figure out if they are affected by zones, and whether the rarity of spawns appears to be affected as well.
@Ginnungagap awesome! I have a couple of potent exits in my queue, so have to wait until those are done to brew the tonic. Queued it for now. It’s 1:30 AM here now anyway. So. Sleep.

Fyi with the half brewing time on potions and using the rental cauldron and master note you can brew the new potion with the three hour rental!
I'm so excited about the new potion! And I can see this being very handy for those who live in more rural areas; which has been a big complaint.

Thanks to those of you who posted the masters notes 😄. I got more bulbadox juice from a greenhouse and baneberry popped up like other ingredients. I haven’t seen other ingredients for this new potion yet.
Does it works like dark detectors, everyone in the area benefits from them, or is it player only?
I read that it's player only AND they appear differently to you... excited to use it!
I haven't cracked one open yet, but I'll probably give it a try this evening, after the Day of the Dragons event.
There is a pinkish-purple glow around you and the trace it reveals. But the reveals weren't impressive for me.
Hubby used last night. There was a pulsing visual around his avatar, and when a trace popped up, it had same pulsing. Funny thing was, I was sitting right next to him and he had a bunch of spawns without the pulsing, and I had nothing at all on my screen. No spawns whatsoever. So it definitely seemed to work for him, even if the spawns didn’t look related to the potion.

It does not appear to increase rarity of spawns, but it does spawn event spawns. This made it very nice for the day of dragons event. I'm not sure how useful it may be for others though. Increased care of magical creatures spawns may just mean more flubber worms and baby hippogriffs for instance. If there are repeats of community days like day of dragons where emergencies or severe spawn more frequently it may be worthwhile to hold onto a few.
We used one during the dragon event and found that there were a few more dragons that appeared for some in our group but never the same ones for everyone. I think mine spawned at least 4 or 5 more.
Has anyone found the erumpet horns yet? I have all the rest of the ingredients with the exception of those.

Perhaps. But it is worth noting that the new Tonic contains baneberry.
If one visits Mysteries, then Chapter 1 of the Foundables spell frame, and opens the Ministry Memo folder,
you will notice the Invoice for ingredients submitted by Grim Fawley.
Among the ingredients listed is Baneberry. Wow.
I must give credit to my co-player son for uncovering this. Brilliant!
@Bormacska Judging by the other potions, it is probably locked in portmanteaus. Additionally what shows appears to be based on when you unlock, so portmanteaus unlocked prior to the release of this potion would not have any of the ingredients.
@Ginnungagap, I believe you are right. Based on what I am reading on other sites. I just haven't been lucky enough to come across it yet! Here's to hoping adventure sync starts up soon so all my rehab steps could finally count towards something!
