Thoughts on Scrolls/Books/Restricted Books/ After Hogwarts Brilliant Event

I'm new and still learning on how to handle my the Profession Section as a Auror.

Any experienced Aurors or experienced players have any suggestions out there?

I have a few questions:

  1. Should I build up the collection further since the event? (Note I still have a 2 unfinished Registries : Potter's Calamity & Fantastic Flora and Fauna)
  2. Instead should I go forward and use what I have obtained and progress in my Auror Fundamentals?
  3. Will moving forward and using the books/Scrolls help me be stronger in the Fortress or do I have complete the entire Auror Fundamentals?

Current Count: x9: Spell Books -- x391 Scrolls -- x16 Restricted Section Books

I greatly appreciate your thoughts and any help.

~🔮Thank You🔮~

@SaiDax , would you like to read some guides? You can find them some here : https://wizardsunitehub.info/category/guide/

I've learned from that site too.

I am not sure, what wizards level are you? You already have 23 posts in this forum, so i think you have started this game before i did. But the questions make me lost......

I am gonna need @Acumen and his smooth talking here....

You should definitely be using them as you go. It will improve your performance in wizarding challenges which will in turn result in more spell books.

I'm the best profession so I don't have any specific auror advice. Something about dances with dummies bring bugged.

I said i need the smooth talker one, not the .......cyni cal one......

Now she's gonna ask what is this "best profession" and get confused to pick profession again...

FYI, DwD has been fixed with 2.3.0.

Are you trying to lure our fellow auror to follow your profession?

Aurors !!... Need backup... I cant stand against him and ......his pics.....

I am at wizards level is 24 @SumaHan , and thank you for the information. I guess I asked the question upon reading some suggestions about not using them until the event was over. Not sure where I read that.

@Osprey1 I had been using them as went along since I started until I read that information when the Brilliant Event started and In started holding to stock up on the Restricted Books it just made since to have more since I need them them for some of the lessons.

I am really hoping that using these books will help me more in the fortress getting past the Forest Chamber II. I am builing of my potions now to go back stronger to defeat them this time.

Again I appreciate the input since I'm generally a solitary player, so its go to bounce a few things off others player on this forum since I joined. 👍️

There's no need to stock up on books. Use them as you get them.

The advice is when there's a two part event, don't use all your event runestones before the second part.

Aha...! I knew it... Youre NOT a new player, @SaiDax .

I was like you. I learned this game in lonely, painfully, hard way. I got beaten by pixy oddities 4x, before i know how to do duels.

Ok.... I can see there are some holes in your knowledge about game concept ( man... I said it like i am an expert... Oh master @Acumen , pls teach me how to smoothen it).

Dont worry we will fill them.

First, the event IS over. And those potter calamity and the fauna ARE over weeks ago. We cannot do anything about their page registry except the fragments that can be obtain from their specific portkeys or wizarding challenge using their specific runestones. So ignore them.

The suggestion only means that you have to have some plan before using your RSB.

    2. Yes, use them. Dont afraid you pick wrong ones, in the end we will get them all anyway. Some planning maybe can give a better boost, but i dont care about that. Just do the way you like it most.

    3. YES. Thats the whole point. We learn those lessons (you call it auror fundamental) so we can get stronger in fortress ( and against oddities, but they are .....er...weak).

And doing fortress is the MAIN resource of red spell books, we CANNOT finish auror fundamental without doing fortress.

Pick fortress levels that fits your skill level. No need to rush it to higher level. But, have fun is the most important...

I have no idea what I'm doing either @SumaHan, lol. Those of us at a higher level haven't demonstrated any greater skill that a new player doesn't already possess. We've just been playing longer is all. 😉

You're already way ahead of the game by browsing this forum, @SaiDax. I've seen many posts from other players who weren't aware of when events began or ended, or why new elements in the game would appear while others went away. This is because information isn't shared very effectively within the app itself. It's also recommended to follow @HPWizardsUnite on Twitter, and r/harrypotterwu on Reddit. The Reddit sub is mostly bratty players who complain a lot, but you'll find useful information there too, particularly in the top navigation which includes a Wiki, Ministry notices, skill tree planner, and so on.

Spend those spell books you earn by increasing challenge rank, and the restricted section books awarded during Brilliant events. Each and every one counts! Don't worry about which lessons to choose. Go with the abilities that you, personally, want to improve upon. Aurors are known for their power, so focusing on those modules within the lesson tree is probably your best bet at first.

As you work your way down the lesson tree, spell books will be harder to come by. Unlike the 10 families in the exploration registry, which cap out at 100, the required XP to increase challenge rank just keeps growing. At Challenge Rank 64, for example, it takes 1300 XP to reach 65. Once you hit this red book wall, focusing on the higher level fortress challenges (11-20) is best to continue progressing at a decent pace. Keep plenty of potions in stock because, even with all your stats maxed out, you can't get through the highest level challenges without them.

Have fun, and keep those questions coming. We all got stuck at different points along the way, but we got by with a little help from our friends in this forum.
