What time do the dragon local to your region start spawning?
As an oddity, is there any information on the type of location, time of day etc when and wherethey’ll spawn?
Most importantly, I don’t want to spend the entire 3 hours of the day of the dragon event looking for a place where the dragons will spawn. I’m already having trouble finding the Horned serpent, leprechauns, and doxies. I could find the werewolves in only one location. And only 2 during the last full moon at that. I still haven’t figured out the optimal way to find the oddities. So not knowing where the dragon will spawn prior to the 3 hour window will be extremely counterproductive.
Any and all information on this is greatly appreciated.

I was just wondering the same thing about Dragons being Oddities. With the exception of Erklings, oddities have been appearing predominately at dawn, dusk and overnight. I have spotted the odd Erkling at nearby parks during broad daylight, though it's rare. Will dragons behave the same way? Was Fanfest an exception as the event was held during daylight hours?As for the dragon event, with such a small window of time, I'm guessing dragons are gonna be everywhere!
Oh, any idea or word on what the threat level is for dragons?
I was just about to come on to ask the same thing! Im glad it's not just me very confused about this whole dragons thing!! So its meant to be an event from today til next tues where we reap the rewards- the reduced brewing time, wizarding xp etc...
But its unclear (to me) lol- do we all get all 4 of the rewards all week? Or just the one associated with the dragon egg that was collected most; e.g for me in Europe it would be the chinese fireball xp reward. But iv just been brewing a potion & im sure its faster than usual? Or I'm imagining it!? For us 10am pdt would be 6pm this eve & its only 13.40pm so shouldnt have started yet. Im just very confused!
And i was wonder about the day of dragons- presuming they must be spawning within that 3hr slot for us- so wouldnt be wait til dusk or dawn like usual oddities im presuming, snd im also presuming they will spawn all over like the brilliant event traces do so we can catch them to trace. However, whats the saying about presumption being the mother of all calamities or something!? 😂 i think worded like that fits the game so il run with that! Lol.
Could we have some extra info on what rewards- just one or all 4? Confirmation of time 6pm BST being 8 hours ahead of PDT at 10am. Are the xp rewards on everything? Or just the dragons?
I'm just a bit lost- my brain doesnt do well with processing info as I'm sure you can tell! Apologies!
@HPWULOLA you have always been so helpful on other threads, please could you explain things like an 'idiots guide' for me 😂
@AuroraKadavra , we get all 4 rewards and theyre already started for about 18hrs. I am not good at explaining things, so you can tap wizards unite logo up there, scroll down a little, then read the featured news.
About 2nd dragon, i agree with you, they must be alnost everywhere like event traces. While regional dragon, my best guess is theyre gonna replace one of serpent time.
Thank you @SumaHan , you're right, its definitely started, i just checked my cauldron is going like the clappers & a portkey nearly open already lol! So i was just going to come on & say its ok- i think i can safely say all 4 rewards are active.
I did read the whole explanation page though, and it says from Sept 2nd to Sept 9th & the time given of 10.00 PCT should equate to 18.00pm BST. So im still confused on that one. But...meanwhile I'm going to quickly take advantage of the perks.

@AuroraKadavra you’re correct about the time difference. You’re just missing the date. Sept 2 was yesterday! 😂 So it started yesterday evening for you. Enjoy!
On everything else, I’m also assuming they’ll (the dragons) be out and about, but maybe not in flagged areas similar to normal oddities? @ZookiTabooki And the threat levels are noted on the registry pages. Two are emergency, two are severe. It looks like for Americas, both will be the emergency levels.
Lolololol @Dogoutlaw !! My brain has been telling me all dsy its Monday today! Daughter started back at school and so it just was Monday, i was certain!! Haha, im such a ****! I thought my potions seemed to be flying out this morning that id put to brew overnight 😂😂 oh dear- there's no saving me- I'm gone- clearly!

@Dogoutlaw Oh ya, doh! Then again, at the moment, no info is showing for the Dragons, and fragment counts are missing from all my frames.
Edit: Ok, I see it now, still missing fragment counts from all my frames. Looks pretty but kinda annoying.
@ZookiTabooki, there is a setting to turn off fragment counts. Why that setting exists, I have no idea. You might check to make sure you haven't toggled it.
@Acumen Thanks. I was playing with the toggle the other day and thought to myself 'hmm, doesn't seem to be working'. I was looking at the new fragment display on encounters. I didn't realize that toggle was for the frames. Here I thought, nice to have a toggle to keep real estate clear on the screen... could use a toggle for the friend button too, I say.
@Acumen @ZookiTabooki Fragment count toggle off is way better. You can see counts by holding finger on the stickers, this way.
I usually count the numbers end of the night and toggle on just for some minutes to see them faster. If you're on a rush, it's better use it.
Chinese+Peruvian=Emergency (people eaters)
Opaleye+Welsh=Severe
Best places for event spawns (and oddities)
1)No family flag (click on flags to see affected area)
2) High-concentration of cellular activity—busy parking lots, colleges, malls etc
Any chance we are going to see another Day of Dragons soon? Love to see Hagrid send us after Ukrainian Ironbellies!
@Borghilde I expect we will have a new Day of Dragons in September, like last year. Hopefully I will encounter my missing dragon then ;)
Hagrid did mention the Ukrainian Ironbelly, maybe there are dragons on the horizon?
@Cartaphilus You are lucky to have only one missing dragon. Here in Asia, we got the Opaleye as our second dragon in both events, so we have not yet seen Welsh Greens OR Vipertooths (or is it Viperteeth? I'm not sure!).
@Magpie31 Sorry to hear that. I thought they were rotating the second dragon with each event. This could mean that September won't bring the Opaleye to Europe. I will lower my expectations... thanks for the heads up!
@Cartaphilus No. The first dragon was based on a competition and depended on which portkeys your region had opened most of. All regions opened more fireballs than anything else, but as that was our lcoal dragon, it went to our second which was the opaleye.
The second event gave us chance to see the second dragon on our home region page to allow people to prestige. For players in the Americas and Europe, they had only ever seen the fireball and their home dragon, so couldn't prestige until this point. For Oceania and Asia, we got the same dragons as previously.
If they rotate the dragon, that means that the Americas and Europe will have seen all four, whereas Oceania and Asia will have only seen three. So personally, I am hoping for an event where we see all four dragons.
