Indicator for Focus during a Fortress battle

Please add a Focus indicator to the Fortress battle screen, during combat. Right next to the energy counter would be optimal.

The setup:

As a Magizooologist one of the most important things to keep track of is your exact current Focus count. This is due to the excellent game design that balances the classes ability to do effective damage v.s. its ability to effectively restore stamina or revive a knocked out player for the group. This balance forces suprizing challening risk/reward calculations in the heat of combat.

The question: But why add the counter?

It takes 5 focus to activate "Become The Beast" (+40 power). The game already applies this bonus dynamicaly. Say if I was at 4 Focus and an ally wizard I was teamed up with defeated an enemy that returned +1 Focus, my total Focus would bump to 5 and the next hit would have the bonus power applied to it. It is very important to know where you are in refreence to the magic number of 5 Focus at all times.

Example scenarios of where it will be used:

  • Shoud I drop out of combat to revive a player? Do I have 6+ (5 Beast + 1 Revive)
  • I am about to finish my Spider how much above five to I currently have, can I restore stamina to an ally?
  • I have been saving up to try and cast Bravery Charm to deal with the Elite on the field. Do I have enough? Maybe I have an Auror already out of combat I can ask to help get the last point I need Transfered over to me.

Background info: Why this is an important feature?

When I started fortresses I was playing solo or with 1 other player, the need to know my Focus count was low. However, now that I have maxxed out my progress in the skill trees using "only scrolls" it is all about collecting red Spell Books. The currenly most red Spell Books come from progressing in Challenge XP (from Fortress battles). One of the best ways to accelerate progression in Challenge XP levels is to take advantage of the multiplayer and friend bonuses. (Don't worry you solo players can still grind this out all by yourselves.) Personally, I have been doing as many multiplayer wizard battles as I can get organized. As more and more players reach the red Spell Book wall the pressure to group up and do Fortresses will increase.

Thanks for your consideration.

PS: I love the addition of all the added counters at Inns: Energy, Coins, Dark Detectors.

Welcome to the forums! :) As a professor, I can also see this being useful if battling with others, but no auror. I wouldn't have the needed focus to put up the proficiency charm right away, and would jump into battle. It would be handy to keep an eye on my focus while battling to know when I could flee a foe, put up the charm, and then jump back into battle. Wouldn't take up too much room on the screen either. I like this idea!

As a fellow magizooologist, I would surely welcome this.

This would be an amazing feature. I play with friend who has an Auror and I ask them for focus, but they never know how much they have at the time.

As a Magizoologist, I like the idea very much. It might even be useful to Aurors (to see if they have enough focus to apply curses) or Professors (to see if they could apply their group buff)
