Vibration On Spell Casting
Hey, is there a way to turn off the absolutely annoying, mistake-producing vibration when spell casting but leave on the vibration for notifications of traces and ingredients appearing on the map? I've been wanting to say singing about this for a while but decided to try to get used to it. I can't. Or is this something glitchy on my end? It never used to do this with vibration set to on in the beginning. After the first update, I was surprised because I felt like I was being electrocuted while casting 😂 Thanks!

I switched off vibration and it got rid of all vibrations from the app. I am not sure if you can keep the notification buzz active at the same time though. I do not miss that either.
From what I can tell in settings, it's all or nothing. Doesn't bother me, but I get why it might be an annoyance to some. Perhaps a different phone case might help to dampen it a bit?
@Mightybeagle @Acumen Thanks, you two. I think I'll just leave mine off. It's weird because the same thing was happening to my friend who also had an Android, but for some reason, it's not happening anymore. He gets vibration for notifications but none on spell casting.
And here I am wondering why I can't feel anything while casting a spell. I have a vibration when something spawns, but don't feel a thing while casting. Maybe it's a difference between android and iOS?
@Dogoutlaw I dunno. My friend and I both have Androids. Actually though, be grateful. When tracing the spell, that vibration will get your finger buzzing all over the screen. Wouldn't be so bad if it improved my spell casting.
@MagusAnimagus yeah, seems like it would be odd to feel that as my finger made the trace. But if it made me better caster...😂 anyways, it’s interesting to here of slight differences in the app.
The vibration on tracing just started happening on my phone again this morning after failing to login.
Prior to this, my phone (Oneplus 5) hasn't had the vibration during casting since an OS update in July. I still got the vibration notifications for spawns, and my vibration setting was ON in the settings. This was perfect, because the trace was smooth. Now that trace vibration turned back on for some reason, I have the traces that look like they've lost some of the 'resolution' of my trace. Instead of a smooth cast, it shows up as a jagged cast.
I'd love to have this turned off again, though the only way to do that is to turn off all vibrations, which obviously means you lose notification vibrations for foundables and ingredients spawning on your map.
I'd love to see them inplement two vibration options. One for gameplay stuff, and one for tracing/casting haptic feedback.
I must be the only one in my camp...I love the vibration when casting, haha! If it’s not there, I feel lost and like the spell isn’t strong enough. There’s something about the buzzing power that is satisfying...but apparently that’s just me, haha!! 😂
Ya know what's funny? I never noticed the vibration on cast until this thread. Thanks a lot! :P LOL
@MagusAnimagus discovered this recently by needed battery saver, then it took a bit to find this thread. Going to settings from your suitcase turn the apps battery saver on. The traces will vibrate when they pop in but the spell trace doesn't vibrate anymore. I definitely prefer that configuration.
@Owlx Thanks and sorry for the late reply! Gave it a go, but it still vibrates for me on the spell trace. 😞
@MagusAnimagus bummer. Sorry. I'll dig around in my settings. See if we can figure out difference. I'm on a Samsung s9. You?
@Owlx Samsung S7. Thanks for your sympathy. Lol Actually, it's fine. I've gotten used to playing stealthily 😉
I've figured it out. Go to settings. Turn vibration on and battery saver off. Go back to the map. Enter settings again and turn battery saver on. This should remove the vibration while tracing spells.
@AccioCissaMione yeah! Thank you. You'll be rocking 2 stars soon.
