Completed achievements - show stats/dates

completed achievements - fully completed at gold level and checked off completely used to show the stats of whatever it was tracking beyond the required amount for achievements.

can we have that back please?

currently have 10 achievements done and checked off, and now they are no longer showing the cumulative stat.

example would be ingredients picked up: now i only know i picked up 20,000 items, but the stat counted up on the completed achievement before... i saw it up to 20,124 at least on the achievement. next time i checked, cumulative stat gone.

it would also be really helpful if it showed the date completed on the achievement once it moves to the bottom of the list and gets greyed out for being checked off.

i have to dig through screenshots to find the date/time i screenshotted the claim button on the completed achievement to find out when i did it. that will only work as long as i have this device, which is nearing its end of life. once i upgrade my device i will lose the records of when i completed my achievements, sad thing indeed.

thanks for any attention that can be given to this idea.

I noticed this too. Lots of people are complaining about it on Reddit. It doesn't bug me at all. It was cool to see the values continue to increase, but not having that doesn't impact game-play at all. In defense of everyone complaining, it seems odd that they'd disable that feature. It's not like keeping the count active on completed achievements gave anyone an advantage. I can fully understand the occasional adjustment (or nerf) to rewards or abilities. There's the recent update to the professor's deterioration hex, for example. I'm not thrilled about it, but I get it.

This thing though... I don't get it. I can't imagine why anyone would decide, "We should get rid of that."

The only rational justification I can think of is that the count was never intended to remain active on completed achievements and it was, in fact, a symptom of one of the bugs they just fixed.

I agree that having the date completed on the achievement would also be cool.

Regarding losing all your screenshots when you get a new device, that really shouldn't still be an issue for anyone today. Regardless of what device or mobile OS you favor, there are multiple ways to back up your data and transfer to another device. Plus, there are plenty of cloud services that offer free storage space. Anyone with a Google Account also has 15gb of free storage on Google Drive. Another solution I've seen some people use for images specifically is to leverage their social media accounts. On Facebook for example, I can create an album and even choose to make it private, then fill it with boring screenshots I've saved only for my own reference purposes.

@Acumen the only computer i have is this phone - no desktops, laptops or anything else of the sort. my life has been lived on the road travelling for work for years and years. for the time being am not actively involved in any projects - but even if i got a computer of some sort as soon as i am back on the road i would have nowhere to keep it.

its not that i will lose my pictures, it is that i am relying on the 'properties' option in the file manager to show the date/time the picture was created. this is lost as soon as it ports to another device.

i dont do reddit, ever, so cant speak to that but i can imagine it is every bit the whiny vocal minority that give the community of any game or thing a bad name. no slight against anyone in particular - just something noticed in general and is the principle reason i avoid reddit.

if these two ideas - cumulative stats and completion dates cant or wont be done then cool, is fine ... but it would be nice to be able to see them.

(i hear the argument that i could make a spreadsheet or something or somehow keep track of it on my own. too much hassle, time and investment. screenshot a thing is do and forget about it on the fly, refer back to it if needbe sometime in the future.

for my job i have to mind spreadsheets and track things for every jobsite, i only deal with that kind of paperwork hassle because i am being paid to. certainly not my idea of relax or enjoyment.)

but yeah, i know you didnt say it, or probably even mean to imply it - this is not a complaint but simply a suggestion for the developers. i just want to clarify that.

i had no idea (though far from surprised) to find it coincides with a source of complaining/whining on reddit. all i ever see on reddit the few times i have gone to it is whining and complaining. i appreciate the heads up on that, when i go to event on sunday upcoming i will keep this suggestion out of my vocabulary because i dont want to get into a discussion of complaints with anyone on the ticketed event site. bonding over communally criticising something is a thing people do far too often and negative creation leads to negative results. thank you.

Agreed. I don't follow many subs on Reddit for the same reasons you mentioned. It's mostly whining from people who clearly aren't worth trying to please because they'll just keep moving the goal post. But yeah, I don't view this post as complaining at all. It's a valid suggestion, worthy of consideration.

Another suggestion that might help in your particular situation: The cloud services I mentioned, like Google Drive or One Drive, can be set to automatically sync your photos in real time. That way, the original timestamps should remain intact even when you sync with the cloud after activating a new device.
