Forced group play

PLLEAAASE get rid of the forced group play. I like getting out on my own to play a bit of this game. I don’t want to have one of the SOS tasks force me to group up to move forward on the main storyline. I’d much rather be able to progress just playing on my own which is much more enjoyable for me. I think you’re going to lose more players doing this than you’re going to gain. Because I’m not going to go beg my friends or family to play, and this will probably cause me to stop playing soon if it doesn’t change.

I totally agree with all arguments mentioned above. Don't force ppl to team up.

If WU had the tools to enable players to connect ie a comm tool as Ingress has then I would understand the logic behind group events

Paradoxically more challenge points are awarded for multiple players in the same tower session yet we can’t communicate with other players in-game to arrange meets

Alternatively, WU is predicated on urban environments without consideration for sparsely populated areas effectively precluding solo players outside of high density areas

I am not complaining simply trying to understand the rationale behind forcing group interaction

I would like the option to skip group SOS tasks please, make them optional. As it happens, I am stuck on the Complete 3 Wizarding Challenges SOS due to the since fixed bug - haven’t found 2 other players since

adding my support here to the comments posted above, BUT if the @HPWUTeam actually cared about our concerns/complaints here, they already would have changed things to eliminate game aspects penalizing solo play vis-a-vis group play.

on the contrary, they have double-downed on their pro-group-play bias ... as evidenced by the nov 2017 community day structure, and even meaninglessly requiring us to add random “friends” to advance in brilliant week 1 AND week 2 tasks.

hate to break it to you, @HPWUTeam , but just because i exchange a code with persons on the same forum here, that exchange does not make those persons my real FRIENDS, or make me theirs. and i do not appreciate having to “add a friend” at the point of a bayonet. (ie, do you want your 14 or 15 green spell books, or not? yes? then bark like a dog! woof woof woof. then add random strangers as your “friends”! done x30 and counting.)

@kiheikid You forgot "make people install our game and play it so you can add them as friends".

Considering the latest (local) reviews on the Play Store, even with the HP brand they may have trouble finding new players.

I agree on nixing the group play. I belong to a decent local POGO community but only two that I know of play HP and we got together only once- but we weren't friends yet so that made a mess of things. Haven't seen them since. Now my work hours are odd so I hardly see anyone. I am also stuck on that task that wants you to play with three teammates. I play a game to relieve stress, I don't want one that adds to it. I still love solitaire and that is FREE, no need to buy port keys.
