Prevent Casting an Ineffective Spell

Just a quick tip I learned today. If you're tracing a spell's glyph shape and half way through you go outside the lines or hesitate a bit, taking up precious milliseconds, and you know the spell isn't going to be very effective, you can save yourself and not complete the spell, start the cast over, and not have to live with a botched spell cast. So what you do is instead of completing the spell, you continue to hold your finger on the screen and let the spell score bar at the top of the screen drop all the way to the left. This will cause a message to flash across the screen that says "Too slow" and you will be able to start the spell fresh. Yes, you will lose one spell energy for the incomplete cast, but trying the spell again to potentially get a great or masterful cast is worth it. Also, casting an incomplete spell doesn't interfere with the "First spell cast success" XP bonus on the results screen. Happy casting!
