What criteria do I need to meet to share a link?
Hi, I am trying to pin a local discord group on the map but get the message...
"you need to be here a little while longer before you can post a link"
Is this literally just a case of waiting X amount of time or do I need to meet certain criteria such as interactions/posts within this site?
Thanks in advance

It's either rank 2 or rank 3 when you can start posting links.
However, you mentioned you want to post it on the map? The map is only for addresses e.g. [[Flint, MI, USA]] will pin Flint.
Thanks for your response @Craeft. So is it a case of creating a pin and then commenting on the pin with link to the discord server?
Also how do I rank up?
Basically, @Radioactive1878 - You can make a full post but the pin location needs to be in the body of the original post. For example, if I were to direct someone to a discord server that's related to Flint, it would be:
SUBJECT: Group in Flint MI
BODY: We have a group forming in [[Flint, MI, USA]] and you can find us on our Discord server (insert server info).
However, if you cannot create links yet, you will still not be able to link, regardless until you hit rank 2 or 3. It doesn't take long to hit 2 though as long as you stay a bit active in the forums.
@Radioactive1878 You need to achieve rank 2 or 3 by actively participating in the group. You earn points for posts that are engaging and for comments that solicit thumbs ups.
Brilliant,
I think it was just poor phrasing in my original question, my intended post and pin is fine I just need to attain rank 2/3.
Thankyou both for your advice!
I believe you need to get two stars to post links. That’s when I could do it; it took a while to hit three stars myself. You get two stars when your account here is a week old assuming you’re a good citizen of the forums and don’t get told off.
EDIT - I thought you got two stars after a week, but maybe I’m wrong on that.

I've had an account since start of July. Just recently returned to add my community to the map.
Still stuck at one star
While your account may be nearly two months old @Travahar, the only posts and comments I see from you took place today. This would explain why your user rank was still at one star. However, I've gone through and liked all your posts/comments and contributed to your conversations. I see you are now at two stars. You should be able to post links at this point.
