awesome! Is there a common hashtag we are using?
This was intended for communities to attract additional players by creating a bit of a social media buzz locally and so you should use a local hashtag. You could include the #WizardsUnite tag to loop in the official channels.
We could pick a date and run a global one though, maybe during fan festival.
I LOVE THIS IDEA!!
If you have any ideas for social games we can play within the community platform, feel free to pass them along! Currently, our platform isn't equipped to host this, but I am glad you are inviting people to play along on other more suited social media platforms.
Here's the draft I put together. Thoughts? Bare in mind I am no graphics artist. LOL
That requires Instagram.
Not a fair balance.
@Craeft I don't have Instagram. Not about to start now. LOL
What is unbalanced?
I think it's better than what I put together, but I think the intent would be to choose a subset for a local scavenger hunt, possibly themed, and to adjust the points accordingly.
For example, let's say you were running a festival and you wanted something to keep people moving around on their 'off' day you could set up a scavenger hunt based on the park you were using. Maybe get a picture of a niffler in front of a niffler.
Fair enough.
This is the Arizona desert. LOL I'm trying to keep most locations somewhere indoors because our temps will still be over 110° into October. And the Valley encompasses a dozen cities, so everything is reeaallly spread out and not always schedule-permitting nor temperature-friendly, if that makes sense. Most people here play either from their desk at work or at night.
One complaint that I hear repeatedly in the local groups is, outside of Brilliant events, they have no incentive to get out and play. Crazy, I know! I'm hoping this helps alleviate that until the next Community Day.
I wanted a decent date range so people would make the effort to go out and look for some of the harder Foundables that they don't have, and have time to do it.
These are just observations and ideas catered to my area. 😉 I'm taking all your thoughts into consideration.
I think it's great that you've found a way to make this work for your local group. That was my intention, to make the game a bit more socially available at the local level.
did yall ever end up doing this?
No idea, but thank you for bringing it back up to the forefront! This would be a great idea for my local area as it is getting too cold to spend much time outside, but a mall event might be the thing after the holidays calm down!
