Has anyone literally ever cast a perfect trace?? Like it’s literally impossible for me

is there a certain way I should be holding my phone? I mean, every time I go to cast a spell, it doesn’t meet my expectations. I’m serious, should I hold my phone a certain way? I am left-handed, but are use my right hand. Maybe that’s the problem

I'm right handed and I just hold my phone up right tbh lol like idk if there really is a "perfect" way to make a trace. I just pay attention to the colors after I've done a trace. I've done good ones (green) fair ones (yellow) and have missed them completely (red) and I would have to try again if the magic resisted which is a pain; cause I only have so much energy 😓
I haven't gotten better than great, but that's probably because I never stop walking, even if I'm casting a spell. 😅
I often max out the bar when casting a spell if that's what you mean. It's a combination of speed and accuracy, with speed being slightly more important. I tend to always get good, great or masterful, I've only had 2 fair casts and most of my casts are greats.
I've currently cast 162 Masterful traces at Lvl 23. As many have said elsewhere, speed is top priority with accuracy second. Some spells are much harder for me than others but at this point I've cast a Masterful of every spell at least several times. Today I started experimenting with using my fingernail as it glides better than my finger flesh sometimes. Still getting used to it, but I think it's improving my casts as well.
I’m level 13 and have never been able to get Masterful. I’ve tried prioritising speed over accuracy but that made it worse. Everyone else I’ve talked to gets them frequently. Even all green and fast as I could is only Great
I’m starting to wonder if having a smaller phone screen is a factor or some setting of mine

I notice that worrying about accuracy over speed can give worse results. There are points of contact for each spell that are more important than others. So I notice for some casts if certain points are matched and the rest don't plus I have a high casting speed, I get masterful casts.
I have been having the same issue being a lefty, can't cast nearly as well as my expert casting right handed wife. I am improving with practice though. Repetition is the mother....( and I thought I got away from cursive)
I reccomend using a stylus if you're pressing too hard on your screen so that your finger drag is slowing down your traces.
Once I realized speed is more important then accuracy I started getting more great and masterful casts.
I've got the gold masterful caster. As others have said, go fast. Speed is more weighed than accuracy.
Masterful casting is very possible, i have managed it a fair amount. Like others have said, its a balance of getting those green accurate traces and doing it fast. I still have medium level confoundables resisting masterful casts though, so its not perfect. That might disappear as we level up.
Just a thought; i know it takes something away from the game, but consider turning the AR off for a while in settings. removing those background distractions might help you get the casting better. See if that helps.
I am usually bad at mechanics, I was able to get 2 masterful casts at level 7 on Buckbeak. I worked mostly on speed up to that point, then I concentrated on trying to be more accurate. I don't expect to get a lot of masterful casts, it is fun when I do manage it. I still get a fair cast now and then... you will get there :)

I have perfectly traced spells and still only get yellow, Diffindo and Incendio I have never gotten green on. I find I get green traces on spells that are rather horrible traces.
Meteolojinx Recanto is the only spell I have successfully cast masterfully. Only managed 26 so far.
