Repeating current game level

I was opening portkeys when I had gained enough XP to level up to 58. When I got out of the portkey screen, I never got the Congratulations screen with all of the rewards. But my XP meter changed from 57 to 58, so I just pressed on and kept playing. Tonight I gained the rest of the XP to level up to 59. The Congratulations screen did come up this time, but it showed that I leveled up to 58. My XP meter also reset at level 58. I should be at 59.
