Distance walked not registering for portkeys or the daily task

I am not getting any distance being registered for opening portkeys or the daily task. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and have the 2.20 update. I've tried both having the app open while walking with adventure sync off and with the app closed, using adventure sync. Neither logs any distance. I have tried on both Android and iOS devices.

does your distance track in google fit on android? did it work before version 2.20? do you wait long enough after walking? (it takes a while to sync),...

I also can’t get walking to register. It was working fine last week. I’m apple. I have given permissions on phone where needed and deleted and started game again. Nothing works. GPS is properly tracking my walks.
