I have been glitched out to the map during every lethal I've encountered as well (3). It happens during while fighting Peter. I have yet to face Barty. I've lost potions as well

Hi, came here to report the same. I've been kicked out of two lethals now, back to back, both during Peter Pettigrew. The battles are counting toward the event progress but this keeps happening. I don't like wasting potions and energy...
I've had the same thing happen on every lethal encounter so far (3). Always kicks out on either 2nd or 3rd guard, stating there's a problem with the wireless network. I am running just fine on LTE with full bars.
Last encounter it let me rejoin twice after rebooting the game before kicking me out permanently. Very frustrating!
I also had the game crash while fighting Barty Crouch. Since using an EDM is the only way that we're seeing Barty here, this is my second wasted EDM of the evening ☹️
I'm having the same problem but only with Barry get 3/4 way through the battle and get thrown back to the map, thankfully was after I finished the tasks. But still a pain and waist of resources.
I'm having the same issues. Lost 2 dark marks & numerous potions due to this issue. Unable to complete as it keeps restartimg partway through the battle.
I’ve done seven lethals now and have been kicked to the map on all of them. What if anything has been done ? This is a lot of potion and dark marks gone. I’ve can not complete this chain at all. I would really like to be able to !!!
It takes a lot of work and resources to get to Barty. Sad/maddening to get kicked out at that point. Does the game need more server space to accommodate all of the recent updates? This game is a big investment of time and sometimes money. Free dark marks for all at least? Thanks.
I've started four Lethal Adversary chains and I keep getting bounced out mid-fight with Pettigrew. I'm hoping I don't have to finish the chain to finish the assignments.
On the plus side, when the game rebooted during a regular adversary chain, I was able to pick up where I left off. And Adventure Sync now works sometimes.
This is happening also to my husband. He's tried Barty twice. First time got to the second guy and got kicked back to the main map. Second time got to Barty and was kicked back to the map.

Similar issues. Booted out after successfully returning first guard of Barty Crouch. Did not receive rewards and did not register on achievements. Also, while using 2nd EDM, dark marks pop up but then disappear almost immediately. Could only catch one!
First EDM worked fine and I enjoyed battling the one lethal that appeared.
Came here to also report the bug. Seems random on crashing and I've only gotten to Barty once making the first task impossible since I can't get a fragment without a crash.
I got kicked out of an Edible Dark Mark generated battle against Peter; this battle did not resume after restarting. I also got kicked out of a battle against one particular Barty twice (though was able to get back into this battle after restarting both times).
Just got kicked out of another barty crouch chain...I used 12 EDMs and could only get 5 barty crouch fragments because the game errors out or it just kicks me out...I've lost all those EDMs, potions, spell energy and rewards...how in the world was this put into play without testing it properly? Its like these are being thrown out there cause the game us ending. This does not look very good at all!

Same here : I got kicked off and back to the map just before I won against the 1st adversary from my first lethal Barty's chain...
I stopped there because since 1.5 years I'm used to bugs on bugs at each event / release, and now I see others have similar issue.
1 EDM, some potions and 30 min lost - this game is so frustrating as it still has such a huge potential in this universe, that Niantic wasted...

This is happening to me too! I haven’t even made it to barty
the merge of threads seems to be wrong, the lethal problem is not a general adversary problem

Got booted out halfway through Barty Crouch battle. So many potions and an Edible Dark Mark wasted.
I gave up it was sooo tedious. I let the second adversary end me before I got to barty

Same and it’s really annoying because it’s a waste of potions!
It is the third time fighting versus Barty Crouch jr. when the fight abruptly ends and I cannot defeat Barty.
