Yes, but then again if you walk like the game is meant, you will be able to clear the through plenty of portkeys. Keep in mind silver keys are plentiful & 5KM is not that much in a day.
Maybe you can try my way of "saving" spaces by opening the portkey portmanteaus but not using the portkey until you need to pick up another portkey portmanteau. That way you will have spaces for special event portkey portmanteaus.
@HarryPutter1234 There are players for whom 5KM is NOT doable in a day. There are those who don't get to walk around with their games active because they can't carry their devices on the job, don't get enough breaktime, or don't have good walking places.
This would be a nice feature for those with fat fingers and are trying to pick up an ingredient or a regular portkey and end up with a brilliant one they dont want.
Until AS gets fixed, there are many who cant open portkeys fast enough as they cant walk much or as already mentioned cant walk around with app open, which really doesnt work as well as AS which takes steps and converts to distance where app, unless they changed it or I am mistaken, goes by actual distance moved and isnt good when making small straight lines back and forth.
I believe that the regular app works while walking in small spaces, too, when it's left on and I am picking up ingredients/portmanteaus/spell energy on the map or I click on a trace. I have done it twice to complete the daily assignment. It is just not as productive nor interesting as when I walk outside.

@Kiyone57 Fair point, however I sit at a desk whole day but still find some time to go exercise, and get a few KM in :) I do average 5 a day.
