"You do not have any Dark Detectors"

When I go to cast a spell for a regular or Brilliant foundable, the screen freezes and tells me I do not have any dark detectors and do I want to purchase some for 800 coins. I lost a potion and two trace charms only to be upsold for an item I have 2o of already.
