Calamity Worsening--Possible lead-in to raids and PvP

Greetings from the Bayou State of Louisiana!

I, for one, am enjoying this game immensely, and I thought I'd share some observations and speculations about some upcoming content.

Despite our best efforts, I believe the Calamity is worsening, and that it will impact our game.

  1. Several items of lore are notable by their absence: Dobby, Lord Voldemort himself, Harry's aunt and uncle, Professor Lupin, Prudence, Nagini, horcruxes, etc.'
  2. As the Calamity worsens, it will be able to pull these extremely strong memories and fragments into the Muggle world. As you're aware, the Confoundable is equivalent to the strength of the memory it is guarding.
  3. These are extremely strong memories, and will be likewise guarded by extremely strong confoundables. So strong, in fact, I suspect it might take more than one wizard to defeat them.

Guys, I think we're getting ready for raids in the future.

Another thought: The Calamity 'reads' us and responds accordingly. As it worsens, the Calamity will likewise influence us.

  1. We only have 13/20 individual spell casts available in our game at the moment, and that includes the Patronus spell--the most powerful spell in our ****.
  2. There's a different Lesson Plan that's 'Coming Soon'--another skill tree.

Folks, I think the Calamity will cause Wizards to fight one another: PvP is coming to the game. The second skill tree will be our PvP skills, and it will unlock the other seven spells that are used just for PvP purposes.

Pure speculation, but doesn't seem too far out in left field.

I hope there won't be pvp, currently the niche of WU is the fact that it doesn't have that - as opposed to both PoGO and Ingress. I very much hope it stays like that.

There is an understanding in the community that HPWU is focused on a cooperative model of gameplay versus competition. Should that be the case, many of us support this stance.

Before PVP I'd like a way to actually use the Friends feature for something else than an Achievement.

Exchanging ingredients and potions, energy... chat ?Something cooperative even from a distance.

In regards to "friends" and ways in which you can connect to and bring benefit to them, I've suggested implementing a Familiar-System (to breach the gap between you and your potentially far away friends)

I'd be happy to hear about your thoughts on that idea 😊

I support the cooperative aspect of WU more than a PVP / competitive aspect. I would love to see a raid function in WU to help fight the calamity.
