I am losing runestones, spell energy, and potions because of this repeated error. I have plenty of bars and am on my home WiFi when this occurs. I am still having to restart from spell energy gifts. The time WASTED with no reward is defeating. I am not having fun anymore.

Me too it is very frustrating given the recent push to complete higher levels paired with this bug is making me less inclined to play.
I've encountered this a few times myself. So this isn't a fix, and obviously doesn't make the issue okay, but there's a kind of workaround that's been working for me:
When the error message with the "Restart" button comes up, don't press it. Instead, just close out the app (as you would when logging off normally) and then immediately open it back up. Every time I've tried that it has put me right back in the chamber I was kicked out of and I'm usually able to finish it off and still get the full rewards. It even happened once when my teammates finished off the rest of the foes after I'd been kicked out and was trying to get back in. It took me straight to the Victory screen once the game loaded up again.
I sincerely hope this issue doesn't last much longer for anyone, but hopefully this works and is helpful in the meantime.
