Brush up on your Magizoology, Community Day is coming 18 September. Encounter more New York City Street Traces and earn guaranteed drops from Forest Chamber IV and above to prestige your page!
On Saturday, 18 September from 12:01 a.m.–11:59 p.m. local time, explore the New York City Street to find the following:
- Increased sightings of the Unicorn, Occamy Eggs, Demiguise, Pickett and Young Newt Scamander.
- Special 1km Portkey that rewards the Thunderbird.
- Guaranteed Occamy from Wizarding Chambers when using Magizoology Runestones.
- Increased Wizarding XP, Challenge Family XP and Energy Rewards from completing Wizarding Challenges.

I have been looking forward to this event. I brewed 7 extra Tonics for Trace Detection in anticipation of the upcoming special assignment. Are we having a special assignment, @hpwulola ?

Occamy is definitely not guaranteed with Magizoology runestones! 8 used in various chambers has given me 3 Occamy.
I have brewed all three types of Exstimulo and my counter is stuck at 2/6! What’s up with that???????
Tonic for trace detection is producing nothing and went into a chamber and nothing happened, serious bugs with this community day
@Zebrakb I played with people in Forest Chamber IV and above using the Magizoology runestone 8x, and I got rewarded an Occamy fragment each time. It was a lot of fun but I used a lot of potions.
@Tonks916 I used 3 Tonics for Trace Detection and got all the fragments that I needed. I am just waiting for the Exstimulo Potions to finish brewing so I can complete the special assignment.
@HPWUTeam thank you very much for another very enjoyable Community Day. I was going to stretch out on completing the special assignment but I was having so much fun defeating foes in the fortress challenges, and you were very generous in boosting all of the required traces. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Well, it's pouring rain here all day so it looks like I won't be completing the discussion assignment... If Adventure Sync worked I maybe could.
It definitely irritates me that they've started requiring portkeys in the special assignments.
It isn't directly stated in the event information, but apparently one MUST play a fortress at Forest IV or higher to "guarantee" the Occamy fragment. Eight fortress-based fragments for a one-day event is a bit excessive if they're not 100% guaranteed.
What do ya mean by 8 fortress based fragment? Only 3 exist in the magizoology family. I think it is a great event, even though I started with all gold pages.
@Kiyone57 in this game, when they say "guaranteed" Occamy, it means that we only get Occamy fragment as a reward in the Wizarding Challenge as opposed to having Mortlap, Thunderbird or Occamy as the reward. The odds that you will get a fragment reward is the same as it has always been, you get a better chance of getting a reward in the higher Chambers, usually in the Dark Chambers. Since we didn't get the infographics for this event, we were not shown where it would be the most beneficial to play.
I have noticed that playing in one chamber throughout the event gives me a better chance of getting all the fragments required. I usually choose Ruins Chamber IV because I use less Spell Energy, no potions and I have a lot of "IV" runestones. Today, I used the higher Chambers because there were people playing in them, and I had a lot of potions stored up.
@emmoswmr I have walked in the house when I could not get out without adventure sync, just pick up something on the map or click on a trace as you walk or at the end before you go back the other way. It is a lot more tedious than walking outdoors but will do in a pinch.
Guaranteed drops of Ocamy from fortress were for Forest IV and above. It was on the description of the SOS report. It was not restated in the listing for the event. A bit duplicitous, if you ask me. But, I did earn all but 1 of mine in lower chambers. I seemed to have a reasonably good streak by running a chamber, going out, doing a couple of other activities, going back in, running a different chamber with a different level rune. I stayed in the tower chambers 3 - 5 and used runestones 3 - 5. Sure it won't work for everyone, that was just my experience.
And now, I won't be able to finish because my portkeys are stuck at .9 and .8....they won't open. So, even though I completed everything else, I can't finish. Beyond frustrated with this. Yes, I have an Android 11 device with a broken adventure sync. But now walking with the game open and running on the phone isn't working either.
I really thought I was going to be able to complete this one.
I did most of my fortress battles in Tower chambers (hadn’t seen the note/s about Forest as it was a multitasky week pulling together birthday stuff for my partner) and I had fun and was able to complete the event! I also have had plenty of high-level Magizoology runestones left from previous events, so for me it didn’t much matter if it took 8 chambers or more than that… I didn’t get drops in every single fortress battle, but it didn’t take me much longer than 8 either. Made for a fun weekend in between hiding cupcakes and presents! 🙃
Any other day spawns vs spawns on community day with tftd! 🙄
