“Initiate” Community day with a potion mechanism

One of my favorite parts of WU, is the fact that we can do battles at anytime of the day or night we don’t have to rely on a very short timer like in pogo with raids.

This got me thinking of community day which, in pogo is often inconvenient, either in date or time of day, etc.

Since the community day stuff seems to be about “buffs”, I was thinking, why not make a community day “potion” that we would get from Diagon Alley. So instead of it starting at a certain time of day, which, for me, in America, on the eastern coast, is 4-7pm which isn’t community “day” it’s community NIGHT... is super inconvenient on a Saturday/Sunday. And in winter the parks close before 7 and that’s an issue too.

And since WU is trying to make a better system and seem actually amenable to change, I was thinking we could take the potion that day when it’s convenient for us and/or a group of friends could meet and do battles together when we are ready. The community day potion would affect the buffs like a brain elixir but specific to the CD bonuses. Should be code-able?

This would allow people who work, and parents with kids and schedules to set their own time to do the event, as long as the potion was used within 24 hours during the CD or even give us the whole weekend to choose when to take it. I hope you like this idea. Thanks for listening.
