Ok, now I know the app is there to generate WB/Rowling/Niantic money… but seriously?! We’re stooping so low as to now have annoying video adverts on the app?! I really hope this is a temporary experiment by the developers, or I’m out. The bugs… I can handle (for now). But cramming in video ads is just LOW. Really low. Cheapens the brand, makes for aggravating gameplay (FOMO if you don’t click and collect) and interrupts the immersive feeling of the wizarding world with a frickin’ advert for candy crush….

Am I the only one who detests these things?!

Not that big of a deal since you have the option not to watch them. The rewards are ****-poor though, got one (!) snowdrop yesterday.

What's more concerning is the fact that they even had to resort to sponsorships. My guess is that mostcof the player base are level 60 with everything maxed so no reason to buy anything.

I'm a returning player but the incentive to invest is extremely low, mainly because everything in this game is very expensive compared to other AR games, even their own. I'd consider buying keys if they cost 10 coins a piece etc, 70 is way too much for a single use item. In PoGo you get a basic incubator for 100 coins and you can use it three times. Not sure if it's WB who's deciding the prices but whoever it is, they really f'ed up from the go.

Agree. As a brand, the idea of video ads in an app seems out of place. Present Bugs and glitches aside, I always felt the app was top-quality and immersive. They’ve reduced it to the class of Candy Crush by adding video ads now. That’s what’s upset me most I think…

I totally agree with your level 60 point. I’ve not spent physical money on the app since I was in single digit levels… but still, they’ve had their investment from me. Just as other apps are bought on day one and then free to use forever, I feel that I’ve done my bit for Niantic and now to have video ads in the game cheapens it somewhat.
